Christmas Competition Games

On Tuesday, we held some Christmas competition games between the 9th and 10th graders during lunch. They enjoyed racing to be the first one or team to complete the tasks. Above are some of the pictures from the fun time we had.

2nd Annual Great British American Trinity Cookie

Bake-off Challenge

You heard that right. It was a cookie bake-off to rival any television series that Netflix has to offer. This year 14 students/ staff would compete to claim the title of Best Cookie Baker at Trinity High School (and a trophy full of Cookie Crisp). The competition was FIERCE! Our panel of judges had their work cut out for them. After three rounds of judging, Grace Mudge had to relinquish her 2020 title as we crowned Mrs. Amy Simonton our 2021 GBATCBOC Champion! Congratulations Amy!

High School Christmas Movie Night

Thursday, December 16th at 7pm

The top selection for movie night voted by Student Council is Elf.

Christmas Break Countdown Dress-Up Days

Our Christmas dress up days will continue through next week. Students can wear Christmas sweaters or Christmas colors (red and green)  all week with regular dress code pants or jeans (no rips, holes, or tears).

Please note, if you are not dressing up according to the themes, then you are expected to be in regular attire.

chromebooks

Reminder! The only devices permitted on campus are school issued Chromebooks. Students are not permitted to bring their personal devices to school. Please complete an IT request form (linked here: tcslions.topdesk.net) for any non-school issued devices to be approved for campus use. NOTE: All devices must be approved or the students will have the non-approved device taken up for the day and they will be issued a device to use temporarily.

Holiday Info for Student’s

Learner’s Permit/Driver’s License

If your student has a DDS appointment scheduled during the Christmas break for either their Learner’s Permit or their Driver’s License, please email morgin.ross@tcslions.org no later than 12/13/21 so she can prepare the paperwork for your student to take home before the break since the school will be closed and the DDS will not accept the information via email.

Active Learning in the Math class!

Algebra II students were taught the Quadratic Formula using a song. They were given an opportunity to earn some bonus points if they emailed to “make an appointment” (a life skill) and sing the song for Mrs Wilcox. They could do it as an individual or group. This group of boys really got into it and showed their understanding of this important math concept!

Counseling Department Dates:

If you are a NEW Dual Enrollment student in Spring 2022, then you need to attend a meeting on:

Wednesday, Dec 15th from 12:15-1:00

in the High School Spanish Suite

A representative from Point University will introduce you to the DE class procedures and ensure you have access to your Point email. It is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the DE program.

Second semester schedules

Second semester schedules are viewable in Blackbaud by clicking “Calendar” and selecting a date range in 2nd Semester (i.e. January).

Students, if you would like to change a course listed on your schedule for the Spring Semester, please complete this form. Link: https://forms.gle/tVDxAtMCsA5b2ShX7

If you are requesting to take a course for which you were not recommended, you will likely need to complete an appeal process. NOTE: Only students who want a change need to complete this form.

Our annual partnership with BackPack Buddies of Coweta has been a blessing to our TCS students again this year. We are so honored to participate with this critical ministry. Thanks to everyone in the Lion Nation who contributed.

This year was the first year TCS high school partnered with One Roof’s canned food drive. We want to wish them a Merry Christmas and thank them for blessing so many families in need. You are a blessing to Coweta County and a blessing to TCS.
