A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

Quarter 2 is underway, and we are thrilled to be back on campus for another week! We are anticipating that the Lord is going to do some awesome things in the lives of our students over the next 8 weeks through classes, chapel services, etc. Please encourage your child to keep working hard and doing their best as we look towards finishing out Semester 1. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. It’s always a pleasure to serve each of you.

HOMECOMING PARADE 

Our annual Homecoming Parade will be Thursday, Nov 5th. It will begin at 6:10pm. Please stand around the baseball field and lower parking lot. 

HOMECOMING PEP RALLY

The pep rally will follow the parade and kick off our powderpuff game.

HOMECOMING POWDERPUFF GAME

Thursday, November 5th from 7:30-8:30 pm

If you are not familiar with a powderpuff game, it is where roles are reversed and guys are the cheerleaders and girls are the players while the teachers are the coaches. The game will be Thursday, November 5th from 7:30-8:30.

HOMECOMING GAME

Friday, November 6th @ 7:30 pm.

Come support our football team as we try to take on another victory. 

Be sure to stay for half-time and see our beautiful and handsome homecoming court and see which seniors get crowned King and Queen. 

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL 

Pastor JC Worley from GO Church spoke to our students from the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, specifically regarding what it looks like to stand against culture when it is wrong (Robinson House motto). His encouragement was for our students to Stand Out, Speak Loud and Walk Free!

LIONS OF THE WEEK

HABITUDES MOMENT

Ask your child about this month’s image that is being focused on in our Habitudes leadership/character development classes.

• 6th - The Starving Baker - This is a common hazard for leaders. We’re like the baker who spends so much time baking bread for others, we forget to eat ourselves. Leaders must feed themselves for personal growth.

• 7th and 8th - The Talking Stick - The Talking Stick reminds us that before we lead we must listen. Leaders seek to understand the perspective of others before they communicate their own point. They show empathy and ask good questions. As a result, they earn the right to be heard.
