A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOr

Wow!  What a year it’s been!  We recently celebrated all of our Arts students through our Performing Arts Awards Night, and then enjoyed quite a few end of year concerts.  The multitude of accomplishments we celebrate is overwhelming to me!  YOUR children have come SO FAR!  And I can’t wait to see how they continue to use their gifts and talents for their personal enjoyment and to impact the world!

We consistently instill in our students the perspective that what we do is not just for us.  It is, of course, for our audience and their enjoyment.  And even beyond that, it is for our Lord, to give back to Him the talents He has placed within each of us.  What a privilege and honor it is to have so much fun and enjoyment in the Arts, and to have the location and freedom to do this with Christ in mind every day!

To all of our Trinity families, a very special THANK YOU for all of your support this school year.  Thank you for your prayers, and for your investment in your students and the Arts program as a whole.  The support and encouragement is amazing, and we don’t take that for granted.

From all of the Performing Arts staff to you, thank you for a great year!  Have a wonderful summer!  And let’s continue to be involved in the Arts for years to come!

ELECTIVES AT TCS

We offer electives in the Performing Arts in a variety of areas, starting in the 4th grade. Often families will ask when these electives are offered, and how their student can get involved. Visit tcslions.org/arts-electives for details about all of these electives, including which grades they become available to the Trinity student.  We can’t wait to see you in an Arts elective next school year!

***MIDDLE SCHOOL ARTS ELECTIVES - CHANGE***

You may have noticed that in choosing Middle School electives for next year, Band, Orchestra and Chorus were slated to be three days per week, and that if students were to choose one of these three electives they did not have room for any others.  We have heard from your students, and have made the adjustment back to two days per week for 2023-24.  This means they WILL be able to have another elective in addition to Band, Orchestra or Chorus.  Mr. Vinson and I have been in close communication about this change, and feel it is best for your students, allowing them the choice of additional electives in addition to Band, Orchestra or Chorus.

Mr. Vinson has already released a Google Form for your student to fill out by May 25th.  This form will state that if you choose Band, Orchestra or Chorus you should not select any additional electives.  Please go ahead and fill this form out and select your Arts elective.  There will be a second form to go out after May 25th, which will then allow your student to choose one additional elective.  This is the change, but we need the first form to complete it’s deadline of May 25th before sending out the second form.

Thank you for your feedback here, and for your understanding.  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

GO WEEK - AUSTRIA

We are planning a GO Week trip to Vienna and Salzburg, Austria for GO Week 2024.  This will be Performing Arts and Missions focused, which is why it is listed here in the Performing Arts section.  We are beginning to promote the general details of this trip, as we know many of you will be quite interested.  We will tour Vienna and the life of Mozart, Salzburg where Mozart was born and The Sound of Music was filmed, and also partner with local churches for some missions work.

At this time all we need is your name to go on our list of those interested.  We do not have the specifics yet, including cost, but as an international trip it will be one of the more expensive GO Week trips.  Full details will go out some time in August with the rest of the GO Week trips, we are simply creating an interest list at this time.

Please email tim.hurt@tcslions.org to let us know your interest and get on our list.
