Trinity Christian School (TCS) is proud to partner with parents to provide access to a high-quality, Christ-centered education through the Georgia Promise Scholarship Program. Signed into law in 2024 through Senate Bill 233, this initiative empowers families to pursue exceptional educational opportunities.

Eligible families may receive funding to assist in private school tuition and more.

Scholarship Basics & Eligibility

 

What’s being offered:

  • Up to $6,500 per eligible student to use toward tuition, required textbooks, tutoring services, curriculum, therapy or physician services, transportation, and other approved educational expenses. Administrative fee may apply.

  • Ability to rollover unused funds to the next academic calendar year 

Who is eligible:

To qualify for the Georgia Promise Scholarship:

  • Student must be enrolled in a Georgia public school for at least two consecutive semesters, OR

  • Student must be a rising kindergartener

  • Student must reside in the attendance zone of a designated public school published by the Georgia Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA)

  • Parent has resided in Georgia for 1+ year, except for active military

  • Student cannot be a recipient of the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship or Georgia Student Organization Scholarship

How to Apply for the Georgia Promise Scholarship:

  1. Visit the Georgia Promise Scholarship Website

  2. Check Your Eligibility: Ensure your family meets the program’s requirements.

  3. Prepare to Apply: Gather required documentation, including proof of enrollment or eligibility.

  4. Submit Your Scholarship Application: Applications will be processed through the Georgia Education Savings Authority’s online portal.

  • GESA will verify information and documentation submitted by students or parents when applying for / receiving funds that is necessary to confirm meeting eligibility requirements. This will be done through a platform vendor. 

  • The initial funding of approved student accounts will be on or after July 1, 2025.

  • Students in the program remain eligible to receive funds until returning to a public school or reaching the age of 20. Special education students may stay in the program until age 21.

  • Step 1: Visit the Georgia Promise Scholarship website to learn more about the program and confirm your family’s eligibility.

    Step 3: Wait for confirmation that your child has been accepted into the program and awarded the scholarship.
