The Elementary Experience

At Trinity, we want to create joy and excitement for the learning process amongst our elementary students. In order to best prepare our students for the transition from kindergarten into elementary and eventually from elementary into middle school, our early learning and middle school principals tag team in overseeing our elementary program.

ELEMENTARY DISTINCTIVES

House System

A special feature of Trinity’s elementary experience is our house system, which allows students to experience a sense of belonging, camaraderie and healthy competition throughout the school year. Each house is named for a historical Christian figure (Elisabeth Elliot, C.S. Lewis, Watchman Nee, Jackie Robinson and John Wycliffe). Students rotate through each of the houses (beginning in 1st grade and ending with 5th grade) where they are given opportunities to learn and demonstrate healthy character traits for impacting culture positively around them. Houses vie for the distinguished honor of capturing the House Cup at the end of our year long competition. Once students reach middle school, they are placed in a specific house for 6th-8th grade. Learn more about our houses at www.tcshouses.weebly.com.

Specials Classes

Students rotate through a variety of specials classes in order to explore additional learning opportunities outside the normal classroom experiences. Our current specials rotation includes the following classes: Art, Band, Chorus, Music, Strings, STEAM, Spanish and PE.

Clubs

Clubs - Elementary students are given a wide array of opportunities for after school activity. Our current club offerings are listed below:

  • Running Club

  • Chess Club

  • Art Club

  • Drama Club
