A Message to High School Parents
Dear Parents,
The countdown continues. Eight days left before the first day of school. The entire high school staff is excited about the new school year. Everyone is hard at work getting ready for our students to return.
Every year there is a sense of anticipation of what a new school year, new teachers and new friends will bring. God has a plan for each of our students. As we embark on this new school year, we can trust that God’s plan will guide us through every challenge and triumph of this year.
Joshua 1:9 states ``Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”This passage serves as a reminder of God’s presence and support in every new journey we undertake, including the start of a new school year.
We look forward to partnering with you in making this school year a time of growth, learning, and fun for our students.

SENIOR RETREAT Class of 2025
( Deadline to sign up for the Retreat is Tuesday July 30th)
This year we are returning to Camp Highland nestled in the north Georgia mountains in Ellijay! Students will enjoy a spiritual retreat full of time for worship, prayer, meditation, team building, and plenty of outdoor recreation! The dates for the retreat are Monday-Wednesday, August 5th-7th. The fee is $100 and will be assessed later this summer via Blackbaud.
The theme is “What is the gospel?” Students will be pointed to Christ as we seek to understand the person and work of Jesus in salvation. Further, students will be challenged in their understanding of the role of the gospel in their lives after they become a Christian.
Please scan the attached QR code to join the BAND app, “Senior Reminders Class of 2025” where you will receive communication regarding Senior happenings throughout the year.
Additional information about the retreat, including the full event schedule will be available in future communications.
If you have any questions you can contact Mr. Tipton at ryan.tipton@tcslions.org.
UPDATE: CHAPEL DAY DRESS CODE
At the beginning of the summer, administration sent out a survey to gauge interest in a desire we expressed to “dress up” our Wednesday chapel experience with a chapel day uniform for middle and high school that would mirror our uniform policy on Wednesdays in elementary. We appreciate the great feedback we received. After reviewing the results, we had 57% of our responders express a desire to keep our dress code the same for this upcoming year and to not make changes to the Wednesday dress code. As a result, we will continue with Wednesdays being a normal dress code day with no special or specific requirements for chapel. Thank you again for your feedback!
