GO WEEK

It is “GO” Time!

International: 110 students will be going!

Stateside: 121 students will be going!

Locally: 178 students will be going!

Please lift our GO WEEK teams in prayer. We are so excited about the work that the Lord has already done to prepare the way for the teams. Now we are praying for the teams to be the hands and feet of the Lord as they interact with others wherever they have been called to GO!

Here are a few important details that you need to know about the expectations for this week for our local teams.

  • Transportation will be provided from the school to your student’s service opportunity. Please have your student here by 8:30 a.m. We would like for students to start serving at 9 a.m.

  • Attendance will be taken on a daily basis by the GO WEEK Local Staff Group Leader. If your student is not sure where they are going locally they can check Renweb. Renweb will show where they are going and the teacher.

  • GO WEEK is built into the academic schedule and therefore attendance is a requirement.  This is not optional for the students.

  • Just like any other absence during the regular school year, the student is required to make up work.  The "work" that is being done during GO Week is service and mission-oriented. Therefore, students that are absent (excused or unexcused) on any day will be required to complete 4 hours of community service per day missed.  Connect with Mr. Whittle for more details on how to fulfill this requirement.

  • You can follow GO WEEK trips on Facebook and Instagram. Type in GO WEEK and friend request/follow on the two social media platforms.

  • Please dress appropriately and check the weather!

  • If you have questions about GO WEEK after January 4th please contact lisa.price@tcslions.org

We truly believe in the value of this week for student’s spiritual and emotional growth and development and anticipate the outcome to be positive for all involved! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
