A Message to High School Parents
Dear TCS Families,
Veterans Day is a time for all of us to pause, reflect, and express our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This special day reminds us of the sacrifices made to secure and protect our nation’s freedom and values. It is a powerful opportunity to instill in our students a deep appreciation for the courage, commitment, and resilience of our veterans and to honor those who have dedicated their lives to something greater than themselves.
Last Tuesday evening, the TCS Beta Club had the privilege of celebrating the veterans in our school and local community with a night of remembrance, song by TCS choriors, and recognition. It was a moving experience, one that brought together students, families, and veterans for a shared purpose of honoring those who have served. We were grateful to have Mr. Steve Quisenberry as our speaker, who delivered a heartfelt message on the sacrifices made by Coweta County’s sons and daughters in the fight for freedom. His words served as a powerful reminder of the strong legacy of service within our own community.
To all veterans, TCS extends a heartfelt thank you for your service, sacrifice, and dedication. Your commitment has not only safeguarded our country but also inspired future generations to uphold the values of honor, integrity, and selflessness. As we teach our students about Veterans Day, we are reminded of the importance of expressing our gratitude—not just on this holiday, but every day—for the freedoms and peace we enjoy. Thank you again to all who joined us for this memorable evening, and thank you to our veterans for the lasting impact you continue to make on our lives.
In gratitude,
Blake Bass
Assistant Head of School
Interim High School Principal
Hey Lion family!
The Chick-fil-A Leader Academy Class is hosting a toy drive to support kids in North Carolina affected by the flooding from Hurricane Helene. Many of these kids have lost everything and will not have the resources to celebrate Christmas with gifts and toys. We want to help bring joy to these kids' lives and allow them to experience the excitement of Christmas without the burden of buying toys.
Our first drop-off day to donate the toys is on November 22. Please bring your toys to the lobby in Building 5. Our second and final drop-off day is after Thanksgiving break on December 2nd. We want to give gifts to children of all ages, so please bring gifts for Kindergarten through 12th grade. The suggested donation amount is $25-$30
Each donation will be entered into a raffle to win a Chick-fil-A gift card. For more information, look on Instagram @tcscfaleader.25.
