Lower School Arts

At Trinity we believe in the arts. We believe students are better prepared for each successive stage of their education, and ultimately become more well-rounded young adults if Performing Arts plays an integral part of their Trinity journey. That is why we start with the youngest of our students, and systematically take them through the different stages of music education. Every student in PreSchool and Lower Elementary will have music as part of their weekly schedule. End of semester programs and holiday events are a wonderful time for parents to see what their children have worked so hard to achieve.

Music education at Trinity starts at the very beginning. As young as 3 years old, our students get quality instruction with a systematic approach. Each year builds upon the prior year as students develop their skills in the arts. Pre School students utilize Orff and other instruments in class, and focus on music and musical theatre weekly. Look for programs at Thanksgiving, Christmas and at the end of each school year.

In 1st Grade we begin each student’s journey toward music literacy. This is done through learning to read music, an intro to music history, and specific foundations including rhythm, melody, harmony, tone color, form and expression. Annual Christmas and End of Year Programs are a highlight for each of these students and families.

Students 1st through 5th Grade have the opportunity to participate in their first theatre production. These students hone their theatrical talents in an after school club format, culminating each semester in a live performance. All students are accepted into the cast; students audition for lead roles.

Students 1st through 5th Grade have the opportunity to participate in our new Dance Club offering. Students explore a variety of dance forms and how the Lord can use them for His glory. Live performance is part of each semester, and serves as the finale of each session.
