Music Arts Academy

Trinity Christian School’s Music Arts Academy provides private and group instruction in instrumental and vocal music for individuals wishing to advance their training in the arts. Classes meet in various locations and culminate in “open studio” performances, recitals, and concerts.

What We Have to Offer

Our Music Arts Academy instructor list is always growing. We offer lessons on a variety of instruments including piano, guitar, wind & string instruments, and vocal.

For a specific instrument and available instructors, please contact the Performing Arts Director at tim.hurt@tcslions.org.

If you know the instructor you would like to contact, here is a list of our current instructors in the Arts Academy:

Schedule

Lessons are taught on campus at Trinity Christian School. They are taught Monday through Friday, weekly, and scheduling of lessons is done directly through the private instructors. Please contact your assigned teacher to determine the best schedule.

Lessons are available either during the school day if it works with your student’s school schedule (TCS students only), or after school starting at 3:30pm.

Cost

Each private session is $35 per 30 minute lesson. This fee should be made payable directly to your instructor, not to TCS.

Group rates are lower per student, and determined by the instructor.

Group classes are currently not offered; we are working to add these options in the near future.

Trinity students can take lessons before, during, or after school depending on grade and schedule. Non-TCS students can take lessons after school starting at 3:45pm.

Arts Academy Policy

Ages

The Music Arts Academy offers private music lessons for students of all ages in piano, guitar, voice and band/orchestra instruments. School hours are reserved for TCS students only. After school hours afford the option for non-TCS students to participate in the Arts Academy.

Calendar

The TCS school calendar (including holidays) will be followed. Lessons are taught on campus at Trinity Christian School, Monday through Friday. We do not currently offer private instruction on campus during the summer months when school is not in session.

Tuition

Private lessons meet once a week for 30 minutes, at a rate of $35 per lesson. Tuition is billed directly by the private instructor. Your instructor will discuss with you their policies concerning payment procedures.

Group Lessons

Group lessons are also available through the Arts Academy. Group rates are lower, and determined by the instructor. Group lessons are contingent on sufficient enrollment. Group classes are currently not offered; we are working to add these options in the near future.

Scheduling

Returning students will receive priority in scheduling. New students will be scheduled on a first-come basis and according to availability. Scheduling of lessons is handled directly through your instructor. Lessons are available either during the school day if it works with your student’s school schedule (TCS students only), or after school starting at 3:30pm. We are able to coordinate with our after care programs as needed. (Agape Center for Preschool-Elementary, or our Middle School Extended Day Program)

Missed Lessons

Absence policies are set by each instructor. Please be aware of these, and communicate directly with your assigned instructor if you know you will miss a scheduled lesson. No makeup lessons will be offered for group classes.

Music Books & Instruments

Instrument rental/purchase may be necessary for your child’s music study. Please contact us if you need more information on local rental/purchase options. In addition, each instructor may require the purchase of one or more books. This information will be communicated directly from each instructor.
