Thank you to all the volunteers who helped sort math workbook pages Tuesday and set-up for the uniform swap on Thursday! Trinity is incredibly blessed to have such amazing volunteers who are always willing to lend a helping hand!

Volunteer Opportunity: HS Lunch Monitor

Wed. 1/26, 2/23 & 4/13

The PTF is always looking for ways to help build a stronger school community and encourage a culture of serving here at TCS while sharing God’s goodness and grace. We would like to share a unique opportunity to plug in with our High School. Since so many of our HS staff members are also Trinity coaches, they have found it is easiest to hold their staff meetings during lunch breaks since after school they are training our student athletes. Kimmy Jones, our High School Principal, is looking for six volunteers to assist with supervision of the students during their lunch time while the HS meets. What a great way to connect and serve our school!

Volunteer Opportunities for the New Year!

Uniform Swap

Who:  All TCS Families

When:  Friday, January 14th 8:30am – 2:00pm

Where:  Atrium Outside Cafeteria

 

Each year families in our school community donate gently used uniforms and spirit wear to share with others.  You do not have to give to receive, and everything is free.  We hope you stop by and take a look!

 

***Please be sure all donated items are washed prior to dropping off at TCS.  Bags of items should be labeled as “boys” or “girls” and include a size range.  Thank you for your help!***

Volunteer Opportunities for the New Year!

Book Sorting

We have another volunteer opportunity to help our K, 1st and 2nd grade teachers with their workbooks. Parents are needed to sort pages from math workbooks by student. We will be sorting pages Thursday, Jan. 6th from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm in room 129 by the church office. If you have some free time we'd love to have your help! We have 2-hour slots below, but feel free to drop in at any time for as long as you can stay! This is a great way to get to know other Trinity parents and catch up with friends!

We are excited to host our first Uniform Swap and Shop of the new year. In preparation, we are in need of some amazing parents to help us sort and set up for the swap. One of the blessings of being a volunteer is that you also get first pick at the uniforms and spirit wear for your kiddos.

PreK Thanksgiving Program - Thursday, Nov. 18th

We have a wonderful opportunity to serve our families with the littlest learners Thursday night, Nov. 18th, at their Thanksgiving program. The Great Sweatshirt Swap - Friday, Nov. 19th

The leaves are changing and the weather is starting to get colder. To help our family's find some warm layers for their kiddos, we will be holding a Uniform Swap of just hoodies and jackets on Friday, November 19th, in the foyer outside the Gathering Place from 8:15 am (after car line) until 2:30 pm (before dismissal car line starts).

 We will be collecting items for this swap next week, Monday - Thursday, in the front office and in car line for those wanting to donate hoodies and jackets ONLY to the uniform swap.

Volunteers Needed: In order to prepare for this swap, we are looking for some happy helpers to help us sort through and display these items on tables on Thursday, November 18th, at 1 pm in the foyer outside the Gathering Place. We need volunteers for donations, prep and to help the night of the event. Please let us know where you can help!

One of the best ways to connect is through serving and we are excited to share an opportunity for families to serve together! We could use both high school students and adults to help monitor the inflatables, keep the lines moving, and help with the carnival games. There are three 1 hour time slots available so that your family may have time to enjoy the activities before or after serving. You will receive your station info at the volunteer check-in table in the games area so be sure to stop by when you arrive.

We can’t have a Family Fun Day without candy to hand out! We would love to collect bags of candy to give to our little lions and their friends who attend the Family Fun Day with their family. Our PreK/K students will be making spirit shakers for the Lions Walk/Roar Rally during Homecoming week. We are collecting the items needed to make the shakers but we need a few parents to help sort the items into packages for each class. Varsity Football Concession Help Needed - Friday, September 3rd!

We are so excited your family is a part of our school community. We have found that one of the best ways to get plugged in is by serving. On Friday, September 3rd, our Varsity football team has a home game and we invite you to come serve with us. You will have the opportunity to serve alongside other TCS parents and students and get to see lots of smiling faces of our Lion pride too. This is also a great way for Middle and High School students to earn community service hours. 

There are 2 shifts available first come, first serve. We are also in need of a few Trinity parents or grandparents to help us grill the hamburgers and hotdogs. Thank you for your interest and for your time. We are truly grateful and look forward to getting to know you better. It's a great time to be a Lion!! :)

Room Parent/Annual Fund Ambassador Interest Sign-up

Room Parents:  We have an amazing group of teachers at Trinity; however, they need and love our help! Each class (PreK-3 thru 3rd) and grade (4th - 8th) need a parent or two to help support the teacher and organize events. Normally, the amount of help needed varies by grade and teacher; however, there are a few events that room parents plan each year such as Christmas and End of the Year celebrations.

Annual Fund Volunteers: Each grade has a volunteer ambassador who gives of their time to support the TCS Annual Fund and works alongside the Annual Fund Leadership Team. Annual Fund Ambassadors use their creative talents to encourage other parents in the grade level they represent to encourage participation, is actively involved in the two-week TCS Annual Fund Campaign and is an enthusiastic advocate of Trinity Christian School. YOU WILL NOT ASK OTHER PARENTS FOR MONEY! The campaign blitz is September 20th – 29th.

Use the Amazon app on your phone? Don’t forget to re-enroll for AmazonSmile - this needs to be done twice a year on the app (online, shopping at Smile.Amazon.com links you automatically to your account).
