Academic Attendance Policy 

Just as a reminder as Winter sports begin to crank up: A student must attend at least half of their classes on game day in order to participate. Of course if a student is at an excused function(s) (Field trip, Dr Apt, college visit, or etc.) or arrangements have been made in the athletic office this policy may be waived.

Shotgun Team Results from First Competition of the Season

The shotgun team competed in its first competition of the season on Saturday at Big Red Oak. The Varsity team placed 2nd overall and was led by seniors Mike Lachey, Andrew Lamb and Zed Wingo. Lachey was in a 4 way tie for top varsity honors, but missed out through the tiebreaker. The middle school team posted an impressive 4th place finish led by returning team member Maxwell Budgen. Also contributing to the team score were new team members Landon Hoekstra, Peyon DeGeorge and Reid Briggs. The next meet will be at Tom Lowe Shooting Grounds on October 30th.

Volleyball Pink Out Game Update

The rescheduled Volleyball Pink Out game is now set for Monday, Sept. 20 for our match against The Heritage School. The game times are: MS - 4:00pm, JV - 5:00pm and Varsity - 6:00pm.

Those who purchased Pink Out shirts will receive them on Sept. 17th.  Also, students will be able to wear these shirts to school on  Sept. 20th (game day).  The Volleyball team will have a Pink-Out Bake Sale and Basket Raffle during the game. Our Pink-Out Committee has been fortunate to receive Spa, restaurant and other wonderful local business certificates for these baskets. All gate, concessions, and monies raised during this event will go to a Trinity Family.

Boys Lacrosse Interest Meeting

The MS and HS Boys Lacrosse Interest Meeting will be held on Monday, September 20 at 6:00pm in the Stadium.  All athletes interested in playing Lacrosse need to be present along with at least 1 Parent/Guardian.

FALL SPORT ATHLETES:

FALL SPORT ATHLETES: You must have a physical on file in the Athletic office no later than August 2nd, in order to be able to practice with your teams. Players who do not have the GHSA physical paper work on file will NOT be allowed to practice or play until those forms are turned in.  Forms can be found at the following link:

FALL SPORT ATHLETES:

You must have a physical on file in the Athletic office no later than August 2nd, in order to be able to practice with your teams. Players who do not have the GHSA physical paper work on file will NOT be allowed to practice or play until those forms are turned in.  Forms can be found at the following links:

Welcome New Head Baseball CoacH

We are super excited to announce that the Trinity baseball program will now be lead by Coach Tommy Gregg!

Coach Gregg grew up in nearby Winston-Salem, NC were he attended Wake Forest University playing both football and baseball and was voted on the All ACC Conference Team all four years. Tommy also won the ACC batting title both his freshman and senior years. During his Senior year, he was drafted in the seventh round by the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. In 1988 he was traded to the Atlanta Braves where he eventually became the  best pinch-hitter in all of Major League Baseball in 1990. In 1991 he played in the World Series on the “Worst to First” Atlanta Braves team. Tommy also played with both the Cincinnati Reds and Florida Marlins organizations and afterward finished his professional playing career back with the Atlanta Braves in 1998. 

Tommy began his professional coaching career in 1999 and continued for the next 20 years as a hitting coach/outfielder coordinator in the minor leagues with the Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, and Miami Marlins organizations. In all, Tommy has played and coached for over 33 years in professional baseball. 

In addition, over the last 20 years, Tommy has spent time in the Newnan and Sharpsburg vicinity giving baseball/softball hitting instruction to area high school athletes and those younger. 

Tommy now resides in Senoia with his wife Tonya, and his daughters, Jordan (2019 Trinity Graduate) and Rachel (upcoming Senior at Trinity).
