The ultimate reality of God's plan for us, is that Christ Jesus is to be our all in all. The believer who reads, marks, learns, inwardly digests, and meditates day and night on the Word of the Lord does not become embroiled in the ways of the world.
Those that search the Scriptures daily are not only wise, but truly blessed of the Lord: "For blessed is the man who delights in the law of the Lord and meditates therein day and night." He will be like a tree securely planted by streams of life-giving water, which yields much fruit in its season, to the glory of God.
PINK OUT!
Come out Tuesday, October 3rd for our Varsity Volleyball's Annual Pink Out! It's a tri match against Northgate and Newnan starting at 5:00 PM. There will be baked goodies, Chick-Fil-A and Mellow Mushroom concessions, AMAZING raffle prizes, and ALL proceeds will be donated to a local TCS family battling against breast cancer!
National Teen Driver Safety Week -
“One Life, One Choice”
The number one killer of teenagers continues to be car accidents and motor vehicle fatalities..
This is not something we can take lightly, and we are committed to being a part of the solution!
During the week of Oct. 16-20, the Trinity high school faculty in partnership with the Abby’s Angels Foundation will focus on raising awareness to encourage and challenge our students to do all they can to become responsible drivers and make wise decisions while riding in vehicles.
For this week, we are requesting students wear the following colors while staying in our TCS dress code. (This is not a dress down week!)
More information is coming soon.
In the meantime, please pray that this week will be an impactful time for students!
Challenges from Chapel
This past Wednesday at chapel we had a powerful time of worship. Our student worship team led us in singing “Praise” by Elevation Worship and “Be Glad” by Cody Carnes. We continue to be blessed each week by their preparation, leadership, and standard of excellence. We were fortunate to have TCS Director of Facilities Frankie Johnson challenge us with a message about communication. We must be careful to listen for the voice of God as He seeks to communicate with us each day, and we must be mindful of how we communicate with one another. Many thanks to Frankie for his energy and passion to share with our students and staff. We’re so grateful for all he does for our school. Please join us in praying as we’re excited to welcome four senior pastors of local churches as guest speakers at chapel in the month of October!

Battle Of The Grades
During our Homecoming Week, Student Council coordinated a competition amongst our grades. Members of Student Council nominated peers they thought would win the categories for their grade. The competitions consisted of: arm wrestling, eating contest, races, push up competition, and of course tug of war. The Freshman class got the most points from all their wins while the Seniors and Juniors tied for second place. Yet, the highlight of the event was when the Tug of War champions, Junior class, challenged their teachers to tug of war and the teachers got the victory.
Student Baking Contest
Our HS students have the opportunity to show off their baking skills at our annual Fall Fest on Friday, Oct 13th. First place winner gets a $100 gift card and second place gets a $50 gift card.

All items may be dropped off at the High School Auditorium on Friday, 10/13, between 2:00 - 4:30 pm. Judging will take place shortly after, so food items MUST be in the Auditorium by 4:30 pm.

Quotes from Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy
Check out the quotes from our Faculty Advisor and some students that are in the CFA Leadership Academy that were expressed after a time of service at Midwest Food Bank this past Wednesday.
“It’s amazing to witness our students serve our community off campus during the school day. Each student stepped up to use their God given talents and gifts as faithful servants. From the time you step into the front lobby, to serving inside the warehouse, the tremendous impact felt at Midwest Food Bank is incredible. Additionally, standing alongside the TCS students who represent the CFA Leadership class is full of priceless moments. I am grateful for this experience that involved packing thousands of water bottles to be shipped off to a community in need out of state.”
- JP Weaver
"I love how through this class, we have been given the special opportunity to be able to give back to our community through projects such as serving at Midwest Food Bank today."
- Jack Strealy
"It felt great to have the ability to help others nationwide, and it's amazing to see the amount of work that can be done when you get a group of motivated kids together to serve those in need."
- Preston Langford
"We loved being able to serve at Midwest Food Bank as a way to give back to the community. This was a great opportunity to shine the light of Christ while helping those around us! We can't wait to see what God does through this ministry!"

Friday Dismissal Reminder
High School early dismissal time is from 2pm -2:30pm. We are asking for all students to be picked up from the high school by means of the dismissal line. Please do not wait for your student at the gas station/lower lot areas. The Friday high school dismissal process typically takes about 15 minutes and then the line is clear. Students that are not being picked up by 2:30pm must remain in the MPR for their safety and security. Students that are not picked up by 2:30pm on Fridays will be held in the MPR until 3:15pm. The safety and accountability of our students is a top priority for us at TCS. Thank you for your assistance with following this procedure.

From the Counseling Department
What’s Been Happening
It’s been a busy first few months for the counseling team as we’ve welcomed students back to school. Here is a snapshot of some things that have taken place:
All senior transcripts were reviewed for proper completion of credits
All junior transcripts were reviewed for proper completion of credits
Mr. Fourman led classroom guidance on two separate occasions where all students in attendance were able to hear about important upcoming events in the first semester and how to build a resume
Mr. Fourman led one classroom guidance lesson where all juniors in attendance were able to review their transcript
Preparations were made to conduct the upcoming PSAT administration for juniors (see below)
We began hosting college representatives on campus at lunchtime
Mrs. Hutcheson led a classroom guidance session for 9th graders to discuss the importance of using their agenda and tips for how to use the agenda effectively.
Mrs. Hutcheson led a classroom guidance lesson for 9th and 10th graders to cover graduation requirements and GPA. Students created their Individual Grad Plan.
Mrs. Hutcheson hosted Coffee Talks where parents of 9th and 10th Graders were invited to hear the Graduation Requirements presentation. Please find the presentation by clicking HERE.
PSAT Administration
The PSAT will occur on Monday, Oct. 16. Testing will occur in the morning. All students should arrive by 8:15. Students who are testing should report to the Student Center in Building 1. Students who are not testing should follow their normal Monday schedule.
After testing, students will attend afternoon classes or activities we have planned for that day. It is not a half-day of school.
College Financial Aid Workshop
The counseling department is hosting a college financial aid workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 10th at 7:00 pm in the Multipurpose room of the high school building. Ben Meadows from the Georgia Student Finance Commission will be here to discuss the Hope Scholarship, state aid programs and share details about the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aide). This will be an informative event for seniors and their parents looking at ways to pay for college.
Upcoming College Rep Visits
10/10 - Georgia College and State University (Milledgeville, GA)
10/17 - Covenant College (Lookout Mountain, GA)
10/25 - Samford University (Homewood, AL)
If you are a parent who is interested in connecting with a representative during this time, you are welcome to come. However, we ask that you set an appointment beforehand by calling our front office. This helps us to have a record of your visit and so that the representatives can plan to meet with you and your child.
Probe College Fairs
The Georgia Probe College Tour is an annual program of college fairs to provide high school students access to college representatives from in and out of state. Hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide attend Probe events yearly. It is a great opportunity to connect and learn which college may be right for you.
There are two local events occurring in the month of October that we would encourage juniors and seniors to attend. A list of registered colleges for the event can be found at the registration link below.
