Events & Announcements

According to this verse, as Christians, we should be joyful at all times. Joyful at all times, seems like a huge feat! As we put into practice  unconditional forgiveness it allows us to obey the command to "rejoice always." A bitter, unforgiving spirit blocks joy just as a  logjam blocks the flow of a river. Scripture recognizes that our circumstances might not always result in our being "happy," but happiness is not the same thing as joy. Because God knows thanksgiving may not change our situation, but it will always change our soul. And when gratitude shifts our gaze from our circumstances to our Savior, we find the joy for which our hearts have been longing. Then the river of life can be continually flowing with a joyous spirit always for His glory!

ANNUAL VETERAN’S DINNER

Challenges from Chapel

“Treasure and pressure: what you treasure impacts the pressure you feel. If you treasure the right thing, you are released from a lot of the pressures this world puts on you.” We are so grateful for the truths we were challenged with this past Wednesday at chapel as our high school lead counselor Brian Fourman delivered such an impactful message from God’s word. Teaching from Matthew’s gospel, it was so challenging to be reminded that where your treasure is, there your heart is also. Many times we seek to have treasures both in Heaven and on Earth, but the Bible tells us to only treasure what is eternal, not temporal. Our hearts cannot be in two places at once. Thank you Mr. Fourman for challenging both our teachers and our students. Our worship team led us beautifully in song, allowing us to stand in the presence of God and lift up praise and hearts of gratitude. Join us in prayer as we continue to hear from members of our TCS high school staff for the final four chapels of 2023!

END OF SEMESTER GRADES

The first semester is rapidly coming to an end, as we only have four weeks left in the grading period. Students should be aware of their current grade in each one of their classes and connect with their teacher for ways to improve their grade. This would include getting assignments completed on time, turning in late work that can still be accepted and using their Do-Over assignment opportunities if they have not already done so.

Any course that is not passed will have to be made up in order to receive the necessary credit for graduation. Students who fail a semester course will be notified by the counseling department of their options for credit recovery.
