Events & Announcements

The turn of a New Year is a time when we reflect on the past, learn from our experiences, and look forward to the future with optimism, expectation, and faith. As we step forth into the days of 2024, be encouraged that we have new opportunities before us. May our hearts be filled with hope, love, faith, and aspirations to seek and follow the Lord’s plan for our lives. Take each day of this New Year to turn to the power of prayer, seeking wisdom and guidance, strength, and blessings all from the Lord! Let us not be so concerned with worry and anxiety that we forget, God’s got it! He’s got the whole world in HIS hands. Hey 2024, let’s do this!

GO WEEK 2024

The heart of TCS High School is to see our students fulfill the Great Commission and share the love of Christ to others.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” - Matthew 28:19

After all of the planning and preparation, the time has come for our High School students and staff to GO! Please cover the teams in prayer as they travel near and far to be the hands and feet of Jesus. May they be encouraged by the opportunities before them,  enriched by the experience of different cultures and worldviews, and strengthened through these shared student and faculty service experiences.

Any course that is not passed will have to be made up in order to receive the necessary credit for graduation. Students who fail a semester course will be notified by the counseling department of their options for credit recovery.

PE/Athletic Performance Class Uniform Update

Don’t forget that PE uniforms are available for purchase at the Roar Store.

The uniform will be required to wear for these classes for Semester II on or before 1/16/24. Any combination of the tops and bottoms will be approved, and there are both cold and warm weather options available for purchase.* Please note that students will not be allowed to participate in PE unless they are in the proper uniform. When students come to school without the correct uniform, the uniform pieces will be available for purchase in the school store with parent/guardian permission.

During the colder weather, students who have previously purchased spirit packs for sports will be permitted to wear these Trinity branded sweatshirts/outerwear and sweatpants/track pants in lieu of purchasing additional items.

SCHOLARSHIP UPDATES

We continue to find new opportunities for scholarships for all types of colleges and universities across the country. Routinely make it a practice to review the scholarship document “Paying for College - Scholarship Information” in the Helpful Links and Documents section below.

One new scholarship database we have added to the document is Student Scholarships.org. We have also added scholarships from Citizens Bank, Newnan Junior Service League, and Prestige Photography (Lifetouch).

Additionally, the League of Christian Schools is offering the Dr. Charles K. Smith Scholarship which can be applied to a select list of Assemblies of God colleges and universities.

SAT Spring Test Dates Released

Starting in 2024, the SAT will be a digital administration. Registration is now open for the March, May, and June test dates. Most colleges, including those that are test optional, consider SAT scores when making admission and placement decisions, and for certain scholarships. Your SAT score is a proven way to show what you’ve learned and stand out on applications.

Below are the upcoming test dates and registration deadlines for the spring administration of the SAT. You can find a test center near you to register. These seats will fill up, so don’t delay in registering in order to get the date that you would like. This mostly applies to juniors and seniors in preparation for college admissions.
