In our faith journey, finishing strong demands endurance and trust in God's promises. Just as athletes train rigorously, we must nurture our spiritual life through prayer and daily diving into scripture. Despite setbacks, we find strength in God's grace, mercy, love, and full acceptance. Let us keep our eyes fixed on the Lord, running with endurance, knowing that it is with purpose that we press on towards the callings and goals before us. May each of us be able to live our Paul's words: "I have fought, I have finished, I have kept the faith." ~ 2 Timothy 4:7 (ESV)

National Day of Prayer

What is the National Day of Prayer?

The National Day of Prayer is held annually on the first Thursday of May, inviting believers across the nation to come together in prayer and praise before the Lord. This year our TCS K-12th grade students and staff will be joining together on the football field for a time of worship and prayer as we call upon the Lord to seek His guidance, grace, and blessings upon our lives, our families, our school, our community, and our nation.

Please see the adjusted times on the schedule below as this will impact the high school class times for 1st and 3rd periods.

Period one will be a split class. Students will dismiss at 8:50 and go to the stadium. After the assembly, students will return to Period 1 for an additional 29 minutes. They will then dismiss to Period 3 which will be a shorter block than usual. Lunch and afternoon block times remain the same.

AP Exams - May 6-16

Testing schedule, expectations is being communicated in classes

  • Please note students are expected to attend afternoon classes on the day of the exam or morning classes if they have a morning exam

  • All students will continue to attend the AP course after the exam until the end of school

End of Course Assessments (Exam) Week Schedule

It is hard to believe we are only four weeks away from the end of the school year! As we move toward the finish line, here are some details to help you in your planning as we wrap up!

It is important to note that our building will be open Monday - Thursday from 7:30-3:30.

On Wednesday 5/22-Friday 5/24, students can be picked up after their exams at 12:15. Since the building will remain open until 3:30, students may wait in a designated area until they are picked up.  On Friday, the building will close at 12:30 so that teachers may finalize grades and wrap up the school year, so please make plans to pick up your student by 12:30 on this day.

Since there will be no lunch provided due to our modified schedule for exam week, our meal option will be a breakfast buffet each morning beginning at 8:15 and ending at 8:50.

Below is the schedule for the 9th-11th graders final week. Exams are highlighted in yellow, and note that period 1 exam is on Tuesday.

Service hours

We know that many of our students attended the GO Week opportunities and have already satisfied their service hour requirements for this school year. However, any students who did not participate in GO Week, should submit the HS Community Service Hour Form to their Bible teacher on or before Monday, May 13th for all seniors and Monday, May 20th for 9-11th grades. Bible teachers will be assigning a 10 point grade for this information. Please note that the service hours are cumulative and tracked on the student transcript as it is required as a part of the graduation requirements from TCS.

REDO deadline

Redo’s for all classes will be due on or before May 10th.  Please follow the directions for each class on how to request and submit the redo assignment.

CHALLENGES FROM Chapel

This past Wednesday we were wonderfully led at chapel by our high school worship team and ninth grade Bible teacher Sam Howard. Both the worship team and Mr. Howard also had the opportunity to lead chapel for our eighth graders on Wednesday, so God used them in a mighty way all morning. Our worship team led us well and prepared our hearts to receive God’s word. We’re so grateful for the message Mr. Howard shared from 1 John. He challenged us with a message discussing the assurance we have in Jesus. We don’t need a theoretical Jesus for our theoretical sin, we need a very real Jesus for our very real sin. Mr. Howard unpacked 1 John 1, giving evidence of the reality of Jesus and our very real need for him and as our Savior from sin and the Lord and Leader of our lives. Many thanks to Mr. Howard for his faithful handling of the word God and for the edification and encouragement we all received. We look forward to the next two weeks of chapel as we have the opportunity to hear from members of our graduating class of 2024!

Dress Donations Needed

TCS is having a dress drive for Royal Family Kids Camp. This camp is a week-long overnight camp for foster care children. Their aim is to give each child a year’s worth of memories in one week. One of their annual activities is a formal Tea Party, in which the girls can borrow a dress. The camp is in need of dresses of various styles and sizes that will help the young ladies feel like a princess. So over the next two weeks, the high school will be collecting dress donations that will fit children and teens. There will be a collection box in the lobby of the high school building until May 3rd for any dresses you would like to drop off.

Your SAT score is a proven way to show what you’ve learned and stand out on applications.

Below are the upcoming test dates and registration deadlines for the spring administration of the SAT. You can find a test center near youto register. These seats will fill up, so don’t delay in registering in order to get the date that you would like. This mostly applies to juniors in preparation for the college admissions season in the fall.
