A Message to High School Parents
Dear Parents,
As we get ready to begin a new school year, I'm reminded of the wisdom found in Proverbs 16:9: "A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps." Just as we prepare for the journey of a new school year, we trust in God's guidance to lead us through every step.
With each new academic year comes new beginnings, new challenges, and new blessings. As our students embark on this journey, let us prepare them not only with textbooks and supplies but also with the foundation of faith and wisdom rooted in God's word.
Just as Noah prepared diligently for the flood by building the ark according to God's instructions (Genesis 6:14-22), let us prepare our children for the challenges they will face with a new school year, equipping them with knowledge, resilience, and above all, a steadfast faith in God.
As you entrust your children into the care of new teachers and mentors, let us pray for wisdom and discernment for them, knowing that they play a vital role in shaping young minds and hearts.
May this new school year be a time of growth, learning, and spiritual enrichment for our children, as they continue to walk in the path of righteousness, guided by God's unfailing love and grace.
With warm regards,
Blake Bass
Assistant Head of School
Interim High School Principal
SENIOR RETREAT Class of 2025
This year we are returning to Camp Highland nestled in the north Georgia mountains in Ellijay! Students will enjoy a spiritual retreat full of time for worship, prayer, meditation, team building, and plenty of outdoor recreation! The dates for the retreat are Monday-Wednesday, August 5th-7th. The fee is $100 and will be assessed later this summer via Blackbaud.
The theme is “What is the gospel?” Students will be pointed to Christ as we seek to understand the person and work of Jesus in salvation. Further, students will be challenged in their understanding of the role of the gospel in their lives after they become a Christian.
Please scan the attached QR code to join the BAND app, “Senior Reminders Class of 2025” where you will receive communication regarding Senior happenings throughout the year.
Additional information about the retreat, including the full event schedule will be available in future communications.
