A Message to High School Parents

Dear High School Parents,

As we embark upon this new academic year, I am reminded of the profound words from Ecclesiastes 3:1, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven." Indeed, the start of a new school year marks a fresh season filled with opportunities, growth, and discovery for our students.

In this season of new beginnings, it's crucial to reflect on what our school and school community offers. Just as each season has its unique beauty, so too does each student bring their own distinct talents and perspectives to our school family. It's within this setting that our students find their place, their purpose, and their sense of being a part of the Trinity family.

As parents, you have played an indispensable role in nurturing and supporting your child's journey thus far. Your encouragement, guidance, and unwavering love provide the foundation upon which they can navigate the challenges that lie ahead. I pledge to you that Trinity Christian School is committed to fostering an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

As we embrace this new season together, let us do so with hearts open to possibility, minds eager for knowledge, and spirits attuned to the beauty being part of something special. May this year be one of growth, joy, and fulfillment for each and every student entrusted to our care.

With warm regards,

Blake Bass

Assistant Head of School

Interim High School Principal

High School PE Uniforms

As a reminder nothing has changed for the high school’s perspective concerning the PE dress code. We are continuing with required PE uniforms for the 24/25 school year. PE uniforms are beneficial to ensure that students are always in dress code for PE. When students make use of PE uniforms, they tend to focus more on the activities going on in the class rather than being distracted over the fashion items of fellow students. Each of the uniform pieces has a space available for students to put either their first or last name on it so that the items can be easily identified and not confused. Students should not place nicknames or slang names on the items.

PE uniforms may be purchased at the school store. Students and/or parents will be able to purchase them during their normal store operating hours. Contact roarstore.lionsclub@tcslions.org for more information. Any combination of the tops and bottoms will be approved, and there are both cold and warm weather options available for purchase. Please note that students receive a grade based on being dressed for participation in PE class. When students come to school without the correct uniform, the uniform pieces will be available for purchase in the school store with parent/guardian permission.

During the colder weather, students who have previously purchased spirit packs for sports will be permitted to wear these Trinity branded sweatshirts/outerwear and sweatpants/track pants in lieu of purchasing additional items.

SENIOR RETREAT Class of 2025

This year we are returning to Camp Highland nestled in the north Georgia mountains in Ellijay!  Students will enjoy a spiritual retreat full of time for worship, prayer, meditation, team building, and plenty of outdoor recreation! The dates for the retreat are Monday-Wednesday, August 5th-7th.  The fee is $100 and will be assessed later this summer via Blackbaud.

The theme is “What is the gospel?” Students will be pointed to Christ as we seek to understand the person and work of Jesus in salvation.  Further, students will be challenged in their understanding of the role of the gospel in their lives after they become a Christian.

Please scan the attached QR code to join the BAND app, “Senior Reminders Class of 2025” where you will receive communication regarding Senior happenings throughout the year.

Additional information about the retreat, including the full event schedule will be available in future communications.

If you have any questions you can contact Mr. Tipton at ryan.tipton@tcslions.org

Together, we've conquered a year of high school; for some, it marked the beginning, for others, the end. However you look at it, we've completed the 23-24 school year. Along the way, we've encountered opportunities for growth, faced exciting challenges, and embraced valuable learning experiences. Let's use this summer as an opportunity to rejuvenate in His presence. Carve out time each and every day so that you remain in the truth of His word found in Psalm 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

May this break from our regular routines serve as a time to grow stronger in our faith. Take the chance to rest, unwind, and recharge so that we can return with renewed energy for what lies ahead. Have a great summer!
