Trinity welcomes Executive Chef Justin Pop

TRINITY WELCOMES EXECUTIVE CHEF JUSTIN POP

We are excited to welcome Chef Justin Pop to Trinity and yes his last name is Pop, like popcorn. Chef Justin is our new Food Services Director and Executive Chef on campus with SAGE Dining. He is looking forward to serving our students and staff this upcoming school year and can’t wait to meet you and your family at the Taste of Sage at Welcome to the ROAR on Sunday, August 7th, from 6-8pm.

Chef Justin comes to us from Point University and has cooked at many local restaurants you may have visited including Senoia Coffee Shop & Mess Hall, Callaway Garden’s Discovery Cafe, and Canongate Golf Course. He graduated from Culinary School at Southern Crescent Technical College with his degree in Culinary Arts. 

This isn’t the first time he has been on our campus. Justin shared a funny story about when he was a Wide Receiver in high school at Crosspoint Christian, he remembers the time Crosspoint Christian played TCS in an 8 man game and they beat us by a lot. He laughed out loud when he said the next year they played Trinity and we had grown some, TCS beat Crosspoint Christian with ease.

Justin and his wife Mara have an 8 month old son, Owen, who keeps them very busy these days when he’s not preparing delicious food for our school community. He shared that they were a big part of his decision to come on board with SAGE Dining so that he could have evenings and weekends at home to spend with his family. We are so excited to welcome him to Lion Nation and look forward to A Taste of SAGE on Sunday, August 7th, from 6-8pm.
