Celebrating the Arts at TCS!
By Samantha DePriest
If you have been around Trinity Christian School for any length of time, you likely have seen the exponential growth in our Performing Arts department. Our student participation is steadily climbing, new programs are being added each year, and along with that come new talented staff investing in and training up the next generation of performers. As the school year comes to a close, our students are given numerous opportunities to showcase their gifts and talents in more than a dozen shows, recitals, and awards presentations. Just this past week, several of our Musical Theatre students attended and participated in the Shuler’s Awards show in Atlanta. our Performing Arts students celebrated another incredible year and received recognition at the TCS Performing Arts Awards Night, and this weekend our 1st - 5th grade Lion Cub Performers put on the most amazing production of The Lion King JR. Over the next two weeks, there are many more opportunities to enjoy the sights and sounds of our talented Performing Arts students in the 2024 Spring Concert Series and The Spongebob Musical.
Shuler's Awards
This year two of our high school students and one staff member recieved Shuler Awards Nominations out of 75 public and private high schools last Saturday night.

Not only did several of our musical theatre students attend the Shuler Awards, but some even participated in the show on stage in both the opening and closing acts as well as assisting with technical. The program “celebrates excellence in high school musical theatre. The awards are named in honor of actor/singer and Georgia native, Shuler Hensley, winner of the prestigious Tony Award, Outer Critics Circle Award and Drama Desk Award.” The ArtsBridge Foundation provides arts education opportunities and is responsible to hosting the Shuler Awards as well as many other events through the school year.
