4th Annual Chick-fil-a Trinity Scramble

Trinity Christian School’s 4th Annual Chick-fil-A Trinity Scramble Golf Tournament was an incredible success thanks to the tremendous support from the community, sponsors, and volunteers. This event continues to grow year after year. This year it expanded to include both courses at the White Oak Golf Course in Newnan making it the largest and most impactful tournament yet.

Coordinated by TCS parent Dirk Wagy, this year’s tournament brought together 244 players which was a record turnout for the event. The tournament had participants of all skill levels and several families who came out to support. TCS Alumni dad Jason Dietz, whose son Grant graduated from Trinity Christian School in 2024, continues to be a main supporter of the tournament. He served as the lead coordinator the first three years and offered invaluable help this year to make this event a success.

Dirk Wagy shared, “The overwhelming support from local businesses and community members is what makes this tournament so special. Chick-fil-A proudly served as the title sponsor, with 20 additional sponsors stepping up to contribute. Thanks to this generous support, the tournament raised a total of $32,000 going directly to the school’s golf program.”
He went on to share, “The funds raised during the tournament are vital for sustaining and growing the school’s golf program. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to supporting the program which helps with transportation, meals during match days, private lessons from a Planterra Ridge pro, and most importantly, the ultimate goal of installing a golf simulator in the field house. This simulator will be an invaluable tool for training and improving skills year-round. A QR code was available at the event for those who wanted to contribute further to the golf simulator project.”

Tournament day was filled with excitement, highlighted by the silent auction and raffle drawing that offered great prizes. The event also showcased the close-knit relationships between players, with many students participating alongside their parents and even grandparents creating a wonderful atmosphere of family and community support.
Special thanks go to those who helped organize and run the event, including TCS Athletic Director Lance Duncan, Coach John (TCS golf coach), TCS parent Kevin Aycock, and Director of Donor Services Mark Northcutt. Dirk shared, “Their hard work and dedication helped make the tournament run smoothly and ensured that everyone involved had a great time.”

The support for Trinity Christian School’s golf program continues to grow with over 50 students from both middle school and high school participating in the program. This event provides a much-needed boost to their journey and we’re excited to see what the future holds for these young athletes. Save the date as the next tournament is already scheduled for March 27th, 2026, at White Oak Golf Course. We look forward to another great day of golf and community support.
