TCS students attend National Fine Arts Festival

And Youth Convention

By Samantha DePriest

Trinity Fine Arts is comprised of both Middle and High School students who love to use their artistic talents for the Lord. Mrs. Stacie Moore, Trinity Fine Arts Director, shared, “Through a variety of methods, students are equipped to express God’s truth to their generation. We help them discover, develop and deploy their gifts. Trinity FA teams use their gifts in Trinity Church services, TCS chapel services, and other community outreaches.”

Mrs. Moore goes on to share, “This year, the teams included Trinity gospel choir, vocal ensembles, worship teams, percussion and instrumental ensembles, drama, songwriting, short sermon, dramatized quoting, puppets, dance, photography, art, creative writing and more. Trinity’s teams participate and annually attend National Fine Arts Festival. This year, the festival was in Orlando, Florida, along with 11,000 other students. Here the students present their prepared pieces for evaluators and all the other students over 5 days. Students exceeded our expectations with their presentations and they grew closer to Christ in the evening services. Our students earned 9 callbacks, which is an honor to be able to present and be in the top percentage of the presentations from all over the country. One highlight was the worship night where Natalie Grant, along with her daughters, led worship for the Festival. Another highlight was being able to take the artwork in memory of Samantha Malenius. Her Visual Art, Jelly Fish Three-Dimensional earned 6th place. All in all, the team had an amazing time. The last day was spent at Magic Kingdom, where fun was had by all.”
