A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

We are getting closer to the start of school, which means that while summer isn’t over just yet, it’s time to really start thinking about how to best prepare for this upcoming year. Don’t wait until the last minute to complete summer reading or pick up school supplies! Also, make sure you have marked your calendar for both of our kickoff events this year. Our Welcome to the Roar gathering on Sunday, August 7 will be a fun night to welcome everyone back to campus. Included in the evening will be a special opportunity for you to taste SAGE Dining to see what all the rave is about regarding our new dining services. Also, our Meet the Teacher Day on Monday, August 8 is a crucial day for starting the year smoothly as you will have the opportunity to walk your child’s schedule and meet your child’s teachers. You won’t want to miss it. Enjoy this week’s content as I hope the information is helpful as we look towards school starting in just a couple of weeks.

5th Grade Language Arts - Jenny Hagauer

With a heart for literacy and student engagement, Jenny Hagauer can’t wait to join the 5th-grade team as the ELA Teacher!  Mrs. Hagauer lives in Sharpsburg with her husband, Rick, and three children - Rhett (4), Lively (2), and Beau (3 months).  Rhett will be starting PK-4 this year and the Hagauer family is excited for Lively and Beau to join in the coming years.  She holds an undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama and a Masters in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.

Elementary STEAM - Rachel Kieffer

Rachel Kieffer graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Education. She also holds a Master's Degree in Education from the University of West Georgia. She will be teaching 4th-6th grade STEAM, as well as assisting with 7th-grade honors science. Rachel and her husband Brett have two children, Kade (6) and Nora (4), who will be attending Trinity in Kindergarten and Pre-K 4 this year. Before staying home with her children, Rachel taught science for 4th through 6th grades at Woodward Academy for 8 years. In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, especially outdoors. Rachel is excited to jump back into the classroom this year. She hopes to inspire students to love learning and grow in a personal relationship with the Lord.

Daily Drop Off and Pick Up

Be sure to check out the arrival and dismissal videos once they are made available in the main section of the newsletter. For returning families, there are no major changes, but for our new families, these videos will give you a helpful overview of what to expect.

  • Reminders: You can drop off as early as 7:00am and pickup usually ends around 3:30-3:40pm.

IMPORTANT: On the Meet My Teacher Day (Monday, August 8) you will receive your family’s safe Dismissal pickup card.

Lunch Visitations

Our plan is to offer parents the opportunity once again to join their child for lunch. We will need the first few weeks to get our students settled, especially with our new dining services, but be on the lookout for information after Labor Day about when you can start visiting your child.
