Events & Announcements

When you feel defeated, burdened, or just exhausted . . . God is a way maker.

When you don’t see any way to get through this . . . God is a miracle worker.

When you don’t know how to trust anymore . . . God is a promise keeper.

When everything around you is dark . . . God is a light in the darkness.

This week we have seen the Lord’s hand at work in many different ways and felt His presence across our campus and community.  He is a way maker in every season despite the challenges and sorrow that we face in the midst of a storm. He is truly a light in the darkness. Please continue to lift the Thompson family in steadfast prayer.

BAPTISM NIGHT RECAP

We are so excited about what is happening at Trinity Christian School. God has been moving in such powerful ways all year long. We’ve seen God move in the hearts of our students in the classroom, discipleship groups, chapel, and GoWeek trips. Throughout all of these incredible moments our students have been challenged to be bold. Some of these students have had their hearts changed by receiving Christ and some have been challenged to take the next bold step in baptism. In Bible class this year we sent a simple form asking about baptism. The response in class was great. We met with students who “desired baptism” and challenged them in their faith. We realized that students were yearning to step out and make public their faith. So with that in mind we prayed over and planned Baptism Night. Fourteen high school students decided to stand before a community of family, friends, staff, and coaches to walk in obedience to Jesus Christ through baptism. Celebrate with us as we recognize the following students: Dillon Stiltner, Anna Grace Strealy, Kayden Harrison, Presley Copeland, Emelia McBurnett, Nikki Van Eman, Jadyn Hill, Caroline McPherson, Noah Schloegel, Caden Jones, Baili Lockhard, Allie Phillips, Porter Haire, and Nathan Jones. Please be in prayer for these students as they continue in their faith journey.

Challenges from Chapel

My goodness… when the presence of God is so evident and God is working in so many ways, it truly is hard to articulate. Years ago Chris Tomlin recorded a song called “Indescribable”, and you know, our God truly is beyond description. This past Thursday for chapel we gathered all together, our entire high school population, one school, one family, united together in the gym. Our thoughts and prayers were focused on the Thompson family. One of Nolan’s cousins shared and spoke such powerful words of faith and trust in God in the midst of such pain and loss. Another high school student shared a writing that the Holy Spirit inspired in her heart after such an emotional and challenging week. Our Head of School Dr. Mark Anthony shared a powerful message from God’s word, challenging our students to trust the purposes of God, especially when life truly makes no sense. After his message, Dr. Anthony called students to the altar to pray and surrender themselves before God. Our chapel worship team led us, and such an incredible moment of prayer and praise broke out. Teachers, students, and administrators bowing their knees and lifting their hands to speak the name of Jesus over the Thompson family, over our school, over our community, over all of our lives. The unanimous sentiment of everyone who was there was “does this have to be over”? We could have stayed in that moment for such a long time. We are so abundantly grateful for how God is moving and working in all the hills and valleys of our lives. This week has given us both moments of sheer joy and celebration and moments of deep pain and sorrow. We trust God’s purpose and plan in it all, and we ask for your continued prayers for the Thompson family, the Rogers family, for all of our students and staff, and for the winds of awakening and revival we are experiencing in our school.
