One of the most comforting verses in the Bible is found in Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. nHe will not leave you or forsake you.” This means that He will be with us ALWAYS.
Psalm 23:4 also provides comfort by reminding us of God’s constant presence, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." This confirms that He will ALWAYS be with us.
Isaiah 41:10 offers assurance when faced with difficult circumstances, “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This reminds us that He will ALWAYS be with us.
When we experience hardships it can be easy to fall into despair, but as Christians we have access to countless promises from scripture that offer words of comfort and we have His Presence always: And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. - Matthew 28:20. May we stand on Christ as our firm foundation as He will ALWAYS be with us.
Challenges from Chapel
This past Thursday, our entire high school family was blessed to join together in the gym for our second to last chapel of the year. We prayed in faith for Natalya Manhertz and for her family. We worshiped together. We heard four seniors, Dylan DePriest, Gracyn Duncan, Brianna Hernandez, and Caden Jones share powerful testimonies and stories about their experiences at TCS, about what God has done in their lives, and about their futures. We heard a challenging message from Dr. Anthony about the power of prayer, and then we prayed. We prayed for and with each other. We prayed in confidence, faith, and unwavering hope, believing that our great God loves us, hears us, is for us, and is working for His glory and our good at all times. It was the final chapel for our senior class, and we were thankful to share these moments with them one more time. It was a beautiful time of fellowship together. We praise God for all He has done in chapel this year. We will wrap up chapel next Thursday in the stadium as our school year draws to a close.
Senior Moments Assembly
This past Wednesday, we held a Senior Moments Assembly in the stadium. We were blessed to hear from ten students who shared about their experiences at TCS, what God has done in their lives these past four years, and words of advice they felt led to share with the remainder of our student body. Many thanks to Henry Brodnax, Josh Taylor, Sophia Wooten, Mark Harris, Gracie Waller, Ansley McMurry, Rebekah Flournoy, Katie Koger, Allie Phillips, and Hannah Gibbs for sharing with us. We are so excited to continue celebrating our entire graduating class of 2023 this week!
