Joy is a critical, and crucial asset of irreplaceable value in life. Christian joy is not dependent on circumstances but is a deep sense of contentment and gladness that comes from a relationship with Christ. When we have true joy, it is not affected by changes in circumstances and situations.
Come let us worship our King
Come let us bow at His feet
He has done great things
Oh, hero of Heaven
You conquered the grave
You free every captive and break every chain
We dance in Your freedom, awake and alive
Oh Jesus, our Savior, Your name lifted high
Oh God, You have done great things
Challenges from Chapel
Two chapel gatherings are already in the books for 2024! We were so blessed to have Ben Heilman, the Youth Pastor at Trinity Church, with us to communicate God’s word this past Wednesday. Ben challenged our students with thoughts of New Year’s resolutions, dreams, goals, ideas, and ways to improve in the fresh opportunities that the new year brings. But then he reminded us of what matters most: that Jesus has made new life possible for us. We get to live as the new person God created us to be through Christ, the One who makes us new. Through Holy Spirit power, we can be more than better, we can be transformed into new people. Our students were challenged to examine their spiritual lives and answer the questions “Have I been made new in Christ?” and “Am I living in the new life Jesus has made possible for me?” Please join us in praying that each one of our students will have complete clarity in their answers to these essential questions of faith, and pray for us as we seek to encourage and challenge them to be all that God created them to be.

SAT Spring Test Dates Released
Starting in 2024, the SAT will be a digital administration. Registration is now open for the March, May, and June test dates. Most colleges, including those that are test optional, consider SAT scores when making admission and placement decisions, and for certain scholarships. Your SAT score is a proven way to show what you’ve learned and stand out on applications.
Below are the upcoming test dates and registration deadlines for the spring administration of the SAT. You can find a test center near you to register. These seats will fill up, so don’t delay in registering in order to get the date that you would like. This mostly applies to juniors and seniors in preparation for college admissions.

MARCHING LIONS - EXCITING NEWS
Introducing…Katie Palmer, our new Director of the Marching Lions. This program has grown over the last five years, from not having any music in the stands on Friday nights in the Fall to having a full marching band exciting the crowd and cheering our team on to victory! We started with just a Drum Corps, then grew to add Winds and Color Guard, and two years ago began marching field formations for the first time. We have enjoyed halftime shows, pep rallies, local festivals with other schools, parades and more.
Last season we brought on Katie as an assistant to lead our winds, instruct our new drum major, and help teach drill. She stepped up to the plate, and her expertise was invaluable toward our end result of a successful Back to the Future show, and growth in this group as a whole. Next season she will be taking on more, and using her experience and expertise to take us to even higher levels. Here are a few sentiments from Katie, please welcome her as our new Marching Lions Director!!
"Outside of being a mom to 5 children and wife to my husband Patrick, my greatest passion is teaching, training, and equipping people and students to use their gifts to honor the Lord. I am humbled and excited to come alongside and lead the Marching Lions!"
"I’ve been given the chance to do some of the things that I love; music and speaking into the lives of students! We will encourage them, disciple them, and develop them to lead others as well. Hard work, dedication, discipline, and skill goes into developing a “Band of Excellence” but we’ll have lots of fun working together and make life-long friends along the way. Ultimately our GREATEST PURPOSE is for Jesus to be at the center of it all! I can’t wait for what the new season holds for us!" Colossians 3:23-24
