Events & Announcements

Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us that in everything we do, whether at work, school, or home, we're actually working for God. This perspective shifts our approach from a performance evaluation to actually moving forward with every task, small or large, as an opportunity for worship. When we understand this, it changes how we see our work and how our work is done. May we find joy and fulfillment in knowing that every task, no matter how small, is an opportunity to serve the Lord and to glorify Him through it all. In doing so, let your light shine as such to allow your actions to share the love of Christ with others.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR JUNIOR MARSHALS

Congratulations to our Junior Marshals from the Class of 2025. To be recognized as a Junior Marshal, a student must rank in the top 10% of their class. They will be assisting with senior events as we honor the 2024 class next week.

We are so proud of these students and all they have accomplished!

ART WALK

The TCS High School Art Department presented their first annual Spring Art Walk this past Monday and Tuesday evening. They were pleased to show a piece from each art student, from Visual Arts 1 classes to the Honors Studio Art class, and the AP/AP+ class.  The artwork was displayed in the Student Lounge of the High School in Building 5, one hour before the Spring Concerts. We hope you had a chance to check it out, but in case you missed it, here is a glimpse of the talent that was on display!

*Abstract Visionaries Club Creation and Donation

Our new Abstract Visionaries club just completed their first project, "A Dozen Doves", which was given to Piedmont Cancer Wellness Center.

The painting was inspired by the club founder’s father, who during the student’s freshman year, fought his own battle with cancer. The different designs stand for beauty and strength even in tough times- the dove represents peace- the hearts represent love- and the flowers represent hope. The main story behind this piece of art is the power of hope and perseverance- and it was created to share this hope and strength with our cancer-fighting community.

*Abstract Visionaries is a creative club at Trinity Christian School dedicated to showcasing the inspirational elements of art. The motivation behind our group is to shine a positive light to our local community through artwork. Focusing on the light at the end of the tunnel helps us all stay calm through our various storms. Service hours

We know that many of our students attended the GO Week opportunities and have already satisfied their service hour requirements for this school year. However, any students who did not participate in GO Week, should submit the HS Community Service Hour Form to their Bible teacher on or before Monday, May 13th for all seniors and Monday, May 20th for 9-11th grades. Bible teachers will be assigning a 10 point grade for this information. Please note that the service hours are cumulative and tracked on the student transcript as it is required as a part of the graduation requirements from TCS.

CHALLENGES FROM Chapel

We’re so thankful for our worship team leading us in an extended time of praise this past Wednesday at chapel. As the school days are winding down, having time in the middle of the week to worship and focus on the presence of God is so powerful. It was our privilege to hear from one of the members of our senior class, Natalya Manhertz. Natalya shared her testimony of faith and trust in God over this past year as she endured serious illness, amputation, and major changes in her life. Natalya is doing remarkably well, and her testimony is and always will be so inspiring to our TCS family. She shared three passages of scripture that have been particularly meaningful to her as she has navigated life over the past year. She read 2 Chronicles 15:7, Philippians 4:6, and Jeremiah 29:11, talking of how God has continually revealed His plan and purpose in her life in the midst of so much change. Many thanks to Natalya for her courage and willingness to share her story with us. Our final week of chapel is next Wednesday as we pray for and bid farewell to our senior class, and we will hear a message from God’s word by 10th grade Bible teacher Chris Paschal.
