A Message to High School Parents

Dear Trinity Christian School Families,

Exciting Times at TCS High School!

Homecoming is right around the corner, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the Homecoming Parade on September 9th at Leroy Johnson Park on Highway 16 in Senoia. The parade kicks off at 7:00 PM. For more details, please refer to the Homecoming Parade section in this week’s edition of Inside The Pride.

Additionally, you should have received an announcement Friday about GO Week. Although GO Week is in January, we’re working diligently to lock in the best prices to make the trips as affordable as possible for everyone. This is why we are starting the process so early.

To make planning easier, a video featuring representatives from the vendors helping arrange our trips will be posted on Tuesday August 27th for you to review. Students can start signing up for trips on September 3rd, with seniors getting the first opportunity.

We’ll be filming the video with the vendors on Monday evening, August 26th, at 6:30 PM. If you’re interested in attending the taping session in person, you’re more than welcome to join us. It will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Lastly, don’t forget about our virtual day this Friday! Students will have a well-deserved four-day break, but please note that assignments will need to be completed as part of the virtual day. It’s also a great chance to catch up on any outstanding work.

Have a safe and restful Labor Day weekend!

Best regards,

Blake Bass

Assistant Head Of School

Interim High School Principal

Altered Schedule for Week of Aug. 26 Only

Friday, Aug. 30th is a remote learning day. High school students will not be on campus for that day. They will be assigned work from various classes to complete at home. Additionally, this is a great opportunity for students to complete make-up work.

Our goal during a four-day week is to maximize instructional time. So for this coming school week only, the class schedule will be as follows. Students should follow this schedule ,which will also appear in their Blackbaud dashboard under “My Day.”

PARKING PASSES

Parking passes will be available for pickup before school starts 7:30 - 8:10 AM, and during lunch 11:20 AM - 12:50 PM.

Be sure ALL paperwork is completed by both parent/guardian and student,

AND all fees are paid!

Pre-Absence Form

We’ve moved into the 21st century and our 2024-2025 Pre Absence Form is now DIGITAL!

You can always find the link on Blackbaud on your resource board.

Be mindful that the form must be filled out 5 days minimum before the student is absent.

GO WEEK LAUNCH

GO week 2025 is HERE!

We will be having our launch night, Monday, August 26th 6:30 - 7:30 pm in the HS Multi Purpose Room

Academic Matters

Tests and quizzes are underway in most classes, and students are getting a chance to show all they have been learning over the past three weeks. Need some study tips? Take a look at these!

Communication is key! If you are absent, please look on Blackbaud to see what you missed, and be sure to communicate with your teachers if you have questions about anything.

If you are new to using Blackbaud, take some time to navigate around the website. “Resources” will be a great place to go for information. Within each class, you can click on “Topics” to see the current material being taught. “Assignment Center” is also helpful to see what is assigned in each class.

Dual Enrollment for Week of Aug. 26th

Dual enrollment students should follow the instructions of their teacher for the modified schedule during the week of Aug. 26. If the dual enrollment teacher will be having class, then students are expected to attend.

Upcoming College Rep Visits

College visits typically happen around our lunch blocks. If you are a parent who is interested in connecting with a representative during this time, you are welcome to come. However, we ask that you set an appointment beforehand by calling our front office. This helps us to have a record of your visit and allows the representative to know you are coming so they can plan to meet with you and your child.

  • 8/26 - Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, GA) (11:30 - 12:30)

  • 9/12 - University of Georgia (Athens, GA) (11:30 - 1:00)
