The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph
The month of November serves as an opportunity for us to give thanks for the many blessings the Lord has given to us, while also searching for ways that we can bless others. During the month of November, we will have two giving opportunities. Please consider participating in our Lower School Annual Food Drive and the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes events. Both of these events serve as wonderful opportunities to actively demonstrate the love of Christ to others. Please see below for additional details.
Preschool Thanksgiving Celebration: November 10th
We are looking forward to our preschool Thanksgiving program on Friday, November 10th. Our preschoolers will perform on stage at Go Church followed by a Thanksgiving celebration in the gymnasium. Please be on the lookout for more information from your child’s teacher.
Lower School Annual Food Drive
Our Annual Food drive will take place from November 1st - November 17th. We are encouraging all students from preschool-3rd grade to participate. This is a great opportunity to bless our community, while encouraging generosity in our students. Items donated will be given to Trinity Church’s food pantry and then dispersed to those in need. Items may be sent in with your student and given to their classroom teacher. We appreciate your willingness to give!
Items needed:
Soup (bean, chicken noodle, vegetable, beef stew), applesauce, peaches, mayonnaise, pancake syrup, cereal, oatmeal, cocoa, coffee, evaporated milk, sugar, vanilla, canned meats (salmon, corned beef, tuna, chicken, etc.), canola oil, vegetable shortening, salad dressing, canned potatoes, instant potatoes, canned fruit, dried beans, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti sauce, pasta, stew, rice, juices, ramen noodles, pudding, toilet paper, paper towels, diapers (all sizes), dish soap, sanitary napkins, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste.
Registration Needed: Agape After School
The Agape After School program has asked that we please send the following link to all of our PreK4 through 3rd grade families so we can have every family registered in case after school ever needs to be utilized. Please note that completing the registration is not an indicator that you plan to use the program, nor is it agreeing to any charges. WE NEED EVERY FAMILY to register so that if you ever have to utilize the program, your child’s information is already on record. Please use the link below to complete the registration. Thank you!
Last Week in Chapel
Last Week in Chapel
We had a great time continuing our "Blessed" series in chapel last week! Mrs. Duncan taught about the importance of prayer and the blessings we receive as we wait on the Lord's answer. Prayer is a very important part of following Jesus! We can be confident He cares about every aspect of our lives, hears every prayer, and will acknowledge every request according to His will. Students learned whether it be yes, no, or wait, we can always trust His answer because our God is good!
Power Verse: "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." Matthew 7:7
Whatchgaddaknow: "God Will Answer When I Pray!"

Staying Informed and Up-to-date with
Classroom Happenings
To stay informed of what’s happening in your child’s classroom, please login into Blackbaud weekly. You will be able to see information such as weekly classroom announcements, upcoming events, weekly academic focus, grades, attendance, etc. This is the key to staying informed and replaces hardcopy newsletters. I encourage you to login each week. Information will be updated each Sunday at 5pm.
Accessing your child's class information weekly:
Login to your Blackbaud account and select your child's name under "Children".
Find your child's homeroom class under the "Progress" tab by scrolling down to where classes are listed.
After selecting the homeroom class, you will see the teacher's main class page where you will locate upcoming dates, class reminders and news.
Select the "Topics" tab to see specific information for each individual subject. Within each subject folder, you will see a plan for the week and upcoming projects and test information.
The "Topics" pages update each Sunday evening at 5pm and will remain current until the following Sunday evening.
