Trinity Christian School Griffin Announcement

April 13, 2022

[Official Announcement From Trinity Christian School Head of School, Dr. Mark J. Anthony, DIS]

It is with great pleasure that we announce on June 1, 2022, Griffin Christian School (GCS) will come under the umbrella of Trinity Christian School (TCS). On that date, GCS will become Trinity Christian School Griffin (TCSG), and will launch into an exciting future filled with unlimited opportunities in serving the Griffin community and surrounding region with an outstanding Christian education.

TCS has a historic 30-year record operating one of Georgia’s premier Pre-K through 12th grade Christian schools. TCS started in 1991 with 24 students, and today has a total enrollment exceeding 1,460 students at its Sharpsburg campus. Next year, Trinity is projected to be one of the largest private Christian schools in the state of Georgia. This spring, TCS achieved a 97% retention rate for re- enrollment, which dramatically exceeds a typical Christian school retention rate.

The model built at Trinity Christian School is not solely in providing a solid educational foundation, it’s a culture developed to honor God through effective Christian education. Trinity believes in building meaningful partnerships with parents and our community. An essential pillar of Trinity’s belief is that by building diversity, we mirror heaven and strengthen the moral foundation of the students we teach. We call this “The Trinity Way.”

TCSG will be able to provide the families and students in Griffin many new services and areas of expertise this year and for years to come. We look forward to discussing those services in greater detail with you at a TCSG Community Meeting on April 26th @ 6:30p.m. The meeting will take place on the TCS at Griffin campus. Further details will follow.

There are several things we want to point out that will not change.

  • The current principals, teachers, and staff will remain the same. As with every year, there will be some transition with the

faculty. However, we will not be making wholesale changes among our passionate faculty.

  • TCS at Griffin will continue to have its own athletics department, and will not be absorbed by the TCS at Sharpsburg Athletics

    Program.

  • With the addition of an appropriate cost of living increase, your fee structure will remain the same.

  • The Christ-centered individualized educational experience your student has benefited from will remain our central focus.

I want to thank Reverend Ron Crum, Pastor, Mrs. Dana Moore, Principal, Mrs. Sunny Norwood, GSC Board Chairperson, Griffin Christian School Board, and Griffin First Assembly Board for having faith in Trinity Christian School, and giving us the opportunity to be a co-laborer of your most precious possession – your students. We will do everything in our power to keep the traditions and history of Griffin Christian School alive and well as we move forward as Trinity Christian School at Griffin.

Mark J. Anthony, DIS
