Noah Wood: Running with Purpose and Passion
By Samantha DePriest
As a rising ninth grader at Trinity Christian School, Noah Wood is already making a name for himself on the track. Recently setting a new record as the fastest middle schooler in the state of Georgia, Noah's achievement reflects not only his athletic ability but also his dedication, faith, and perseverance.

While the record-setting moment wasn't immediately obvious to him, the realization later that day brought a sense of accomplishment and joy. "I felt accomplished and joyful that I was able to achieve the goal," Noah said.
When reflecting on what helped him perform so well, Noah credits his mindset and faith. He shared that accepting the outcome was in God's hands allowed him to compete with confidence and peace. Listening to worship music during his warmup helped him focus and prepare mentally for the race.

Noah draws motivation from the people who encourage and support him. Their belief in him helps him push through moments of doubt and continue striving for improvement. Looking ahead, his goals are ambitious. He hopes to thrive at the collegiate level and ultimately pursue the possibility of setting a high school state record.
For younger athletes hoping to improve, Noah emphasizes one key principle: consistency. "Every day do something that will make you better, stronger, or more knowledgeable of your sport," he advises.
One surprising fact about Noah is that he once disliked running, even while achieving impressive results. Over time, however, influential people in his life helped reignite his passion for the sport. When he's not training or competing, Noah enjoys spending time playing guitar in his room.

With his strong work ethic, supportive community, and faith-driven perspective, Noah Wood is a young athlete with a bright future ahead. Now that Track season has come to a close, Noah is conditioning for Cross Country Season this fall.
TCS CROSS COUNTRY
Noah wanted to encourage on behalf of the team for anyone who doesn’t play a fall sport to come out and participate on the Cross Country team. Also winter and spring sport athletes can use XC as an off season training opportunity for their cardio, particularly soccer, lacrosse, track & field, swimming and basketball.
