Ally Hamblin

Ally has had a fantastic senior season so far, but her performance over the past week has been phenomenal! Over the past 3 matches alone, Ally has accumulated 25 kills with only 4 errors - with a .467 hitting percentage - INSANE! Ally is a fierce competitor and fiery spark plug on our team, and I couldn't be prouder of the leadership she has shown on and off the court with her teammates. If you haven't gotten a chance to come watch this girl play, you're missing out! 

Maxwell Bugden

Maxwell is a scholar athlete who continues to develop his skills and competitive edge.  He is a natural leader that elevates the entire team.

Cam Rodgers is a 6'3, 220lb stand-out ILBer on the football team and has already committed to Southern Miss for baseball.  Cam is not only an outstanding athlete, but also has a 4.6 GPA!

Anna Grace Moore

Anna Grace is a leader on and off the field -- she's respected by her teammates for her passion, drive, and commitment. She led the Lady Lions to a win over Walnut Grove on 10/22, throwing for two touchdowns and rushing for two as well.

Bakari Hamilton is an outstanding leader, young man, and impact player for us.  This past week, just in the first half, he had 18 rushes for 92 yards and 3 TDs!

Lucia is our team captain, She is a great team leader, and she possesses strong leadership skills. She excels in communication with her teammates and Coaches.

Last week Kaylee batted .500 over 3 games going 4 for 8. She pitched 2 complete Regional games. 14 innings with 18 K’s and only 1 ER. Whitewater game 7IP 2 hitters with only 73 pitches thrown, 6K’s 0BB and 1 ER. Mary Persons game 7IP with 0 ER, 1BB and 12K’s. Kaylee is also ranked 14th in the state as a pitcher.

Abigale Smith

Track and Field

5/6/24

Abigale has been a part of the track and field program since middle school at TCS. During her time in high school, Abby has participated in sprinting and relay events, along with competing in the horizontal jumps. She is a postseason qualifier multiple years in the 100m dash, 4x100m, and 4x200m Relay events, and in the long and triple jump. Abigale plans to compete at the next level in track and field, possibly Truett McConnell University being her final destination.  

Preston Ziobro

Track and Field

5/13/24

Preston has been involved with the TCS track and field and cross-country program throughout his high school career. During this time, he has participated in distance events as a student-athlete, seeing much success in competition over the years. Preston has qualified in multiple events to compete in postseason action which includes the 3200m run and 4x800m Relay. He plans to attend Auburn University in the fall.

Daisy shot the lowest score in our match against ELCA! Her hard work and excellent performance helped lead us to the win!

Ryan is a superb athlete and catcher on our baseball team. He has a great Christian character and is an awesome teammate. He goes above and beyond to help the team win at any cost. He is very coachable and always striving to be better. He has the potential of being a very good player in college at a D1 school.

Addison Schriks

Addison is our first-line singles player for the Trinity Girls Varsity tennis team, and had an impressive record of 7-0 versus region match opponents. She led the Trinity Lions through regional playoffs and into the state tournament, where she will take on Bainbridge HS's top player the week of April 17.  As well as being an exemplary student-athlete, Addie inspires her teammates and cheers on every match in progress when she's not on the court. 

Campbell Askew

Campbell Askew is a student-athlete and a leader on the TCS Varsity Tennis Team. As Trinity's line-one singles player, he plays the toughest opponents in our region and approaches each match with exemplary character, attitude, and heart. Campbell enters the GHSA state tournament as Trinity's top-ranked boys player with a 4.62 Universal Tennis Rating.

Jordyn Rawlings

Jordyn is a team captain and has been a leader on the field and off. She is our top defender and playmaker for the team. She is leading the team in passing efficiency along with steals per game. She has scored 3 goals and 4 assists. Jordyn has learned to play a new role and has established herself as a top player on the team. We are grateful for her and the work she is putting in to make Trinity a strong team this year.

Kyva Holloway

Last week, Kyva had a 100% shooting percentage and dominated on the draw circle, winning 9/9 draws. Not only is she a great player, but she makes everybody around her better through her encouragement and strong leadership.

Micah consistently illustrates his value as a teammate by giving 100% effort, staying positive, and picking up other players. He is always willing to play any position the team needs him in and does it full-heartedly.

Caden has been working hard all off-season and has been one of our most improved golfers. In a recent practice round, he hit a hole-in-one! This is a testament to his hard work and dedication. I believe God has honored the work of his hands with this exciting and rare blessing!

Bella is a Sophomore on the Varsity Gymnastics team. Bella is a founding member of the Trinity Gymnastics team, and in her third year, she is a leader in competition as well as with her teammates and classmates. In the first meet of 2024, Bella performed her most challenging routines yet and excelled on bars. This multi-sport athlete leads by example in her continuous commitment to excellence.

Elijah is a team leader who has served as team captain for both his Sophomore and Junior years of high school. He is a year-round wrestler who attends camps and competitions outside the school season. At 20-5, Elijah is currently a returning state qualifier.

Whitney Benz

Archery

Whitney has been a member of the TCS Archery Team for two years and serves as the team captain.  She currently holds a 256 scoring average with a personal best score of 272 out of a possible 300 points.  She maintains a 3.9 cumulative GPA and is a multi-recipient of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Academic Archer Award.  She is also a participating member of the National Beta Club and frequently volunteers her time to service projects in her local community.

Ivona Djikanovic

Ivona is a great basketball player and a great inspiration to her teammates.  Although she has faced some adversity this season that has not stopped her from supporting her teammates every step of the way.  She has kept her head up and has had a positive attitude at every practice and game.  Ivona exemplifies hard work, persistence, and dedication to the sport she loves!  She is a great role model and leader for our TCS Lady Lion Basketball team.

Elyse played with toughness vs Grayson and her attitude of serving is great. She is a freshman and they are in charge of making sure the bags are off the bus and the bench area is clean. Elyse always volunteers to pick up balls and clean up. She also volunteers to pray much more than many and her prayers are a powerful testament to her commitment to the Lord and her love for her team. She also averaged 10ppg, 6 steals, and 4 assists last week.

TJ is a talented and dedicated student-athlete who has a genuine love for the sport.  He is a natural leader that puts his teammates' success ahead of his own.  He is humble and gracious with his personal successes and achievements.  He achieves a balance between his academics, marching band, and the shotgun team.

Jackson is our swim team captain and leads the team by word and by example. He is always on time,  he is kind to his teammates, and he treats all other swimmers with respect and kindness. He is also a part of two state qualifying relay teams for this season so far.

Anna Aycock is on the Softball team. Anna is the type of player every coach wants to coach. She is willing to do whatever it takes to improve her game and help her teammates win. Anna has stepped up big and made great defensive plays for the team in the outfield which is a new position for her. We are excited to see what else Anna accomplishes as we approach the postseason.

Avery is a bright light and an incredibly talented student-athlete! She is the backbone of our Cross Country family/team culture and has been running Cross Country with TCS for 4 years now.  Currently as a freshman, she is leading our Varsity girls team!   

Cody Anderson

Football

Cody Anderson has led the Trinity defense this year on and off the field.  He has 3 blocked punts, 5 sacks, and has averaged 13 tackles per game.  He just received his first offer from Point University.  His older brother, Wyatt, plays offensive line at Western Kentucky and his father, Buck, ran track at West Point.

Jordyn led the Lady Lions to two victories last week, scoring 3 touchdowns, 2 pick-6s, and a PAT over the span of two games. She's not only a great scorer, but sets the tempo for defense as well, tacking on several sacks for loss.

Addie is on the Varsity Cheer team and a Senior this year. Addie is an all-around cheerleader, she always comes to games and practice with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. She is always willing to step in and try any position. She is one of our team chaplains and handles it all with grace.

Phoenix Moss

Phoenix is a Senior on the Varsity Football team. Phoenix has become a leader by example already this season. Phoenix is a game-changer when he is on the field no matter what side of the ball. In week 2, Moss had 19 carries for 178 yards, 2 TDS, and 1 2-point conversion. This Navy Commit leads by example in how he works at practice and it shows up in his gameplay. 

Preston Ziobro

Preston is a Senior on the Varsity Cross Country team. This is Preston's 7th year running XC for TCS.  2 weeks ago at the LCA Invitational Preston not only won the entire race in a massive field but also set the TCS course record at that venue.  He is truly a champion in every sense of the word!

Lily FloyD

Lily is a Junior on the Varsity Volleyball team. Over the last 4 matches, Lily has led our team in aces (9), has a solid hitting percentage (.231%), 4 total blocks, 81 assists, and is 2nd in digs with (24). Lily is our team 'glue' being the setter and she's done a great job of being the steady, calm, cool, and collected teammate her team can rely on every match.

8/21/23 - 11th grade

Makayla went 3 for 4 at the plate in our last game against Eagles Landing Christian Academy. She is batting .500 for the season. She has been a great leader for us as a veteran outfielder and we are so excited to see what she accomplishes this season.

8/28/23 - 10th grade

Adeline is one of our most versatile athletes and one of the most selfless. She stepped into playing middle part-time for us and has done so well! In the last four matches, she's hitting .400% with 18 kills on 32 swings. She more than deserves to be our athlete of the week!

5/1/23 - 11th grade

Porter is currently a junior who competes in the long, triple, and high jump events.  Additionally, Porter now shares the high jump record (6-2) and broke the long jump record (22-8) this season, a record previously held since the 2017 season.  As Porter competes at a high level he also leads by example through his actions, motivating and encouraging his teammates to compete to the best of their abilities.  Porter will compete at the GHSA 4A Region 4 event in all his events for a chance to qualify to the GHSA Sectionals event set to take place on May 6th.  Recently, Porter was baptized in front of his peers and family at TCS during a night of celebration!

5/8/23 - 10th grade

Abigail is the type of player that a coach loves to coach. She has so much natural talent and is very coachable. For the past 2 seasons she has played line 1 singles and has played some of the best competition in the state. She gives every match her all and is very consistent on the court. We know she is going to do amazing things for the TCS tennis program the next couple of years.

5/15/23 -11th grade

Mary is currently a sophomore student athlete who competes in the shot put and discus events.  Mary truly is a servant leader who leads by example both on and off the field as a thrower.  She inspires her teammates, including the throwers group, to achieve their personal records during practice and in competition.  As Mary is not competing in the GHSA 4A Region 4 event she is at practice each day, working alongside her teammates at practice.  Mary is also devoted to her small group at church that meets on Wednesday after practice which is a foundation of her daily walk.

5/22/23 - 10th grade

Jessalyn is a sophomore who started playing competitive golf last year.  She is the most consistent golfer in our program.  She is one of the leaders on our girls golf team.  Our girls team finished 1AAAA runners up and will be playing the GHSA State Tournament.  Jessalyn is a leader on and off of the course.  She excels at a high level in the classroom taking advanced courses. She is also a hard worker on the golf course.  She is constantly working at improving her game.  GO LIONS!

4/10/23 - 12th grade

Grant Summer is a senior golfer at Trinity.  He has played in our program for the past 4 seasons.  Grant led our team in both of our Varsity events in scoring this past week.  He shot a 38 against Whitewater High School to lead the Lions Golf team to a big area win.  Grant is an outstanding golfer but and even better person.  He would be an outstanding representative of TCS for the Athlete of the week. 

Campbell Askew

Tennis

4/17/23 -9th grade

Campbell is a fearless competitor at Tennis. He is playing our line 1 singles as a Freshman this season and plays every point with his all. Playing some of the best competition in the state he has been able to not only compete with each opponent but win multiple matches. He is a competitor and that shows on the courts.  We are so excited to see what is ahead for Campbell and his tennis career. 

Tai Peete

Baseball

4/24/23 - 12th grade

Tai Peete, a senior, had a great game this past Tuesday hitting a double and a three run homer to left center to help us win a big game against Troup Co. 5-3. He also made an unbelievable diving catch over his head with his bare hand. That play should be on ESPN Web gems. Tai is having a fantastic year so far and is tied for third in the state with ten home runs.

Wil Rinkenberger, junior captain, has played really well to start the season. His leadership in helping our young team has been incredible. Wil has a great work ethic and truly shows what it means to be a TCS Lion.

Olivia Osse

3/13/23 - 12th Grade

Olivia Osse is a senior captain for the Lady Lions Soccer team. She is a returning 1st team all-region center back who has picked up where she left off last season. Olivia is not only a great player but a fantastic leader of this team. Olivia has been able to record several goals and assist from her Center back position this season and is leading our team in to region play for the first time at the 4-A level. Olivia is a fantastic student with well over a 4.0 GPA and excels in multiple sports.

Sophomore Kyva Holloway helped lead the Lions to victory against Woodward and Stratford Academy last week. Over the two games, she scored 13 goals and 4 assists and tallied over 15 caused turnovers, ground balls, and draw controls each.

Bryce Ryan

Swimming

2/6/23 - 10th grade

Bryce Ryan is a sophomore swimmer! He has 4 individual state qualifications in the 200fr, 500fr, 100fly, and 100back. He also has been the high points winner for the males for almost every meet we have had this year. 

Madison Morge

Basketball

2/13/23 - 12th grade

Senior Madison Morge set a new school record of 10 three pointers in one game against Troup County on Friday, January 20. Madison continues to be a pillar and leader of our basketball program as she has been throughout her high school years.

Tori Taylor

Archery

2/27/23 - 12th grade

Tori Taylor is nominated for athlete of the week honors for her consistent performance and dedication to the sport of archery at Trinity Christian School.  She has repeatedly demonstrated ability to post high scores in all tournaments and leads the Trinity Lions in scoring average (278) through eight tournaments.  She is also the current record holder at the school with a 285 out of a possible 300 points and has shot multiple perfect ends of 50 points in district tournaments. She is an intellectually gifted student leader on and off the archery range and is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2023.

Kyva plays guard for our Varsity Girls Basketball Team. She’s a great defender, a great passer, has been much more assertive in her play this year….and most importantly, she is a a great student and teammate and a joy to coach. She does all of this while also juggling competitive Lacrosse!

Senior captain Olivia Osse is a true servant-leader. She inspires and motivates her teammates to be their best by the example she sets every day at practice: she demonstrates discipline, integrity, and toughness while being a critical element on both the offense and defense.

Elijah has been one of our most dedicated wrestlers this year.  He is a team captain even though he is only a sophomore.  His work ethic and commitment has earned him the respect he deserves.  He is leading the team in both the number of wins and pins.

Anna is like a sponge. As a Freshman, she is one of the most coachable kids and is always eager to get better at the game. She is willing to do whatever she has to do to help her team and teammates get the job done.

Henry Brodnax is a Senior Quarterback who currently leads region 4-4-A in all passing categories (Yards, completions, and yards per game). Henry is also currently #2 in all of 4-A in completion yards at almost 2000 yds with a few games left and has led his team to wins over both Starr’s Mill and Whitewater. Henry not only excels on the field but also in the classroom with a current 4.21 GPA! Henry volunteers his time to assist the state-ranked girls' Varsity Flag Football team. Henry is a leader both on our team and in our school.

Anna Grace Moore

Anna Grace Moore is in 9th grade and has had a tremendous freshman season, having over a 60% completion rate. Last week, she led her offense to outscoring area opponents 32-0. She is dynamic and versatile, and she sets a great example to her teammates in always looking for ways to improve.

SeAnna Johnson is a Sophomore and has scored six touchdowns and two extra points in seven games. She is a starter both offensively and defensively for the Lions, and is consistent and reliable. She is known to make big plays in crucial moments, demonstrating composure and confidence in stressful moments.

Ethan McDowell - Football

Ethan is a 6'2, 218lb senior Defensive End. Ethan had over a dozen college football offers but is committed to Miami of Ohio. Ethan is an outstanding leader on and off the field and has a 3.64 GPA. Ethan was also voted Homecoming King for the Senior class of 2022.

Emily Harris - Chee

Emily Harris serves as a team captain for the varsity cheer squad and this is her third year on Varsity. She is very bright and organized. Emily was chosen in July for All-American Cheerleader through UCA for her second year. Last year she represented Trinity in Disney for the UCA parade. Emily puts in continuous hours at practice and at home sending videos to her squad and helping them with the new material added for the season. Emily has many award-winning jumps. She is an excellent role model and represents Trinity Christian School well.

Nathan is a 6'2, 303lb senior Offensive Lineman. Nathan is an outstanding young man and currently has a 4.2 GPA. Nathan is a 3-year starter on the offensive line and is currently uncommitted for college. Nathen plans to attend college for Kinesiology.
