Trinity Christian School Hires New Assistant Head of School

Blake Bass Set to Join the Ranks

Sharpsburg, GA: Trinity Christian School (TCS) recently announced that Blake Bass, former Superintendent for Coweta County Schools will be joining the school’s Administration as the new Assistant Head of School, effective first quarter 2022. 

Mr. Bass joins the TCS leadership team, bringing a rich history of experience in the field of education, having served as Superintendent, Associate Superintendent, principal, teacher, football coach, and several other key roles. 

Additionally, Mr. Bass’ experiences that will benefit Trinity moving forward include:

  • Educational Consultant

  • Human Resources Director

  • Superintendent Professional Development

“Beyond his tenure as a leader and educator, we prayerfully considered bringing Mr. Bass on board because he has a heart for helping students succeed at each level. We believe that because of his experience and personal goal to provide students with the best in Christian education, he is the right fit for Trinity and where we’re headed: forward,” says Dr. Mark J. Anthony, Head of School at Trinity. 

Mr. Bass’ addition to the leadership team comes at the right time as Trinity is celebrating 30 years as a Coweta County school. In recognition of this milestone, the theme this year is "Always Forward." All school year long, TCS is honoring the past and present, and looking ahead toward a bright future.

With an ever-growing interest in receiving a Christ-centered quality education in a loving environment, Trinity is continuing to expand its leadership to meet the needs of Coweta County students.

Senior Sharmari Reed Signs With Kennesaw State University

Sharmari Reed, Trinity Christian School senior, signed a Letter of Intent to attend Kennesaw State University to play college football in 2020. TCS is honored to celebrate with Sharmari as he prepares for success at the collegiate level.

TCS recently hosted a celebration in honor of Sharmari’s decision to sign with KSU. Coaches and teachers, as well as his friends and teammates attended to show their support.

While at Trinity, Sharmari played football and was named to first team All-State and first team All County twice. He also ran track with an appearance in the GISA State Championship. He holds school records in the 50 meter dash (6.26 seconds) and 200 meters (22.58 seconds), while also holding the second-fastest mark in the 100 meters at 11.01 seconds.

Sharmari is a well-rounded student who has his eye on pursuing a career in either Sports Management or Sports Medicine while at KSU.

The Trinity family is proud of Sharmari and his achievements on and off the field, and we look forward to seeing him shine in his future pursuits.

Senior Accepts Softball Scholarship to Appalachian State University

Trinity Christian School senior, Claire C. signed a Letter of Intent to attend Appalachian State University and play softball in Fall 2020. TCS recently hosted a celebration in honor of Claire’s decision to sign with ASU. Coaches and teachers, as well as Claire’s classmates and teammates attended to show their support.

Claire is at the top of her class, with a 4.32 GPA. As a student athlete, she played tennis, was on the track team, made the All-State Softball Team for the Georgia Dugout Club, and was on Trinity’s first All Region Softball Team.

Claire is a well-rounded student, who is also involved in the National Honor Society and BETA Club.

So what do you do when you’re also passionate about advocating women’s rights? You make plans to study Pre-Law and Political Science. That’s what Claire is focused on pursuing along her career path.

MS Academic Bowl Team Finishes Second Overall in YACS Tournament

We want to congratulate our Middle School Academic Bowl Team as they finished second overall in the tournament held at Young Americans Christian School. The tournament was held on Saturday, October 26, 2019, and our team competed against eight other middle schools. .

Our MS team is just in its second year of existence, and is led by Sarah Scott and Dylan Higgins who are both middle school teachers. We look forward to seeing many more achievements by our students.

Middle Schoolers Learn Programing in S.T.E.A.M.

A group of Middle School Students recently learned to program and control spheros during their Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) class. Their teacher, Mr. Clint Prewitt focused on making learning exciting and engaging by taking his class outdoors.
