A MESSAGE FROM MR. VINSON

It won’t be long before re-enrollment season is here! This year has been so special to me being on campus, and I’m excited about the prospects of what God has in store for the 21/22 school year. Please let me know if you have any questions related to your decision for returning to TCS in the Fall. It is truly a privilege to serve your family, and I would love to have your child back with us next year!

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Mr. Vinson spoke on the Golden Rule from Matthew 7:12, emphasizing that we are freed to treat others like we wish to be treated, even if we never receive that treatment from others, because God is ultimately the source of all our good treatment.

JANUARY MEMORY VERSE: II Corinthians 5:20-21 (ESV)

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

LIONS OF THE WEEK

Congratulations to the following students that were nominated by their teachers for making good choices or setting a good example recently.

  • 4th Grade = Haley Bishop

  • 5th Grade = Patrick Moss

PRESIDENTIAL INAUGURATION DAY

We are planning to give our 4th and 5th graders the opportunity to watch the Presidential Inauguration on Wednesday, January 20. The event will begin at noon which falls during lunch and recess time. Due to these scheduling conflicts, our 4th and 5th graders will be watching portions of the Inauguration later in the day and will be given classroom activities to connect the event with their history class.

100TH DAY OF SCHOOL

We will celebrate the 100th day of school on Friday, January 29. Our teachers are working hard to put together a fun day of activities for your child! Students are encouraged to dress like they are 100 years old!

101ST DAY OF SCHOOL

Monday, February 1

Why stop celebrating at the 100th day mark? We are theming the 101st day of school after Disney’s 101 Dalmatians. The teachers will be communicating specific plans for the day.
