Alabado sea Dios por su palabra y por su pueblo que la proclama…“Praise to God for His word and for His people who proclaim it.” A big thanks to Nathan Blevins, our gifted Spanish teacher and beloved men’s soccer coach. Mr. Blevins bore a burden for our student body since the Summer of 2021. He hoped to speak in 2022 and share the crucifixion story in meticulous detail and call 500 high schooler’s to respond with all-in love to the all-in love of Jesus on the cross.

Thanks for your burden, thanks for faithfully proclaiming Jesus, and thanks for calling all men and women to fall face down in love and surrender at the foot of the cross. After hearing your heart, I found myself face-down there once again. “Praise to God for His word and for His people who proclaim it.” Alabado sea Dios por su palabra y por su pueblo que la proclama.

Be in prayer for our on deck hitter, Oscar Camejo, who will bring God’s word to God’s people next Thursday (2/3/22).

What’s Happening in Class

The Old Testament has never been more intriguing! Our 10th grade students are investigating the life, reign, and impact of Israel’s third king. The project is the creation of a 3-dimensional board game on the famous King Solomon. The students are working together to incorporate game play and trivia to highlight a king notable for his vast wealth and wisdom, his construction of Israel’s first temple, numerous songs and proverbs, and the infamous number of wives that led to Israel’s division from a united monarchy. Who knows? We might need to keep a look out for a new Solomon board game at a store near you!

GO Day continues on…!

On Friday, February 11th, students may wear a sweatshirt, jersey or t-shirt that supports a team they are cheering for in Super Bowl Sunday or they can choose to wear pink or red colors to celebrate Valentine's Day. Students are still expected to wear pants and jeans that are approved for everyday wear.
