Events & Announcements
We have no light to give on our own and we can’t find our way out of the darkness alone. We can’t light the way for ourselves or for others. But there is a light and there's a way out of the darkness. The way out of the darkness is through Christ alone. The Light of the World is Christ alone.
SOUTHERN STAR BAND FESTIVAL
This past Friday, March 25th, our 7th & 8th Grade Band and our High School Chamber Group both performed at the Southern Star Band Festival at Six Flags, Atlanta. The students received encouraging feedback as well as critique that will help them perform at higher and higher levels. The experience was certainly educational and enlightening to each of these students.
Then on Saturday we went to Six Flags for a day of fun together and the closing ceremony of the festival that evening. We had so much fun at the park and then celebrating a job well done! It’s great to take trips again as a band, and we look forward to more of these in the future, for sure.

TCS Yearbook Staff
The TCS Yearbook Staff just completed and submitted a HUGE 80 page deadline which finished the main 222 pages of the book, so they celebrated with a trip to Heirloom to celebrate with a treat. Way to go Mrs. Hackworth and team! We are thankful for all your hard work!
Chapel
What a blessing this week to be led by one of our TCS dads, Gabriel Rivera. Blending an actor’s life and skills with an expositor’s gifting, Gabriel presented a powerful message about darkness’s agenda (Eph.6:17) and the presence of God. He rightly asserted that “darkness wants us to interpret our God through difficult circumstances but God wants us to see our dark and difficult circumstances through the filter of our God.” Taking the context of Acts 16, Gabriel showed how Paul and Silas sang in the darkness when things were not going their way but the jailor sighed in the darkness and intended suicide when circumstances beyong his control didn’t go his way. Imagine, life inside the jail as a prisoner for the name of Christ turned into a choir service and the free jailor nearly inspired a funeral dirge. Gabriel, thanks for giving us light in our jail cells.
Be in prayer for next week’s speakers as we begin our “Senior Moments” season, when our seniors speak in chapel before they go into the next chapter of their lives. Over the next several weeks we will have about 20 senior messages.

SILENT DISCO
A silent disco is an event where people dance to music listened to on wireless headphones. Rather than using a speaker system, music is broadcast via a radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by wireless headphone receivers worn by the participants. Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.
This is for all 9th -12th graders, but no outside guests.

The theme is Neon/Glow in the Dark.
