Events & Announcements

God in His grace has revealed to us that He has prepared amazing and wonderful things for those that love and trust Him. God in His wisdom has said that eye has not seen, ear has not heard and the imagination of man is too limited to even envision what He has prepared for those that love him. Doesn’t that just blow your mind?! Whatever you are imagining or envisioning as the goodness and favor of the Lord, it is even beyond and greater than that!

Sepsis Awareness Month

Sepsis is the body’s life-threatening response to infection that affects 1.7 million people and takes 350,000 adult lives in the U.S. every year. This is what grabbed a hold of our very own, Natalya Manhertz.  In chapel on 9/13 we will hear a message from Principal Kimmy Jones and participate in a dress down day by wearing red and black to promote awareness of this illness.

In order to participate in the dress down, we are asking students to contribute $5 of which all of the proceeds will go directly to support Natalya in acquiring necessary medical and daily life items. These resources are vital for her journey towards a fulfilled life after battling this life-altering and devastating disease.

9-11th Grade Yearbook Pictures

Lifetouch pre-paid pictures and individual proof packages will be distributed by Monday, September 11th.  Each student's proof package has an individual code on the envelope.  If you want to have your student's picture retaken, the retake is the picture that will automatically be used in the yearbook.  Makeup and retakes are scheduled for Friday, October 13th.  Even though Friday's are Spirit Wear days, your student should wear dress code attire since this picture will appear in the yearbook.

NEW PRACTICE LOT - MARCHING LIONS

We have exciting news!  Our Marching Lions now have a practice area in the West Student Parking Lot!  We have lined this lot, similar to what many other schools with marching bands do, and our band can now practice their field formations here after school.  This will help this growing program continue to learn and enhance field shows and work on their marching basics.

What does this mean for you?  If you are a student who drives to school, we would ask that during marching season you do not park in the first section of this student lot beyond 4pm.  Normal school day and afternoon carline will not be affected at all, but at 4pm several days each week during marching season the band will utilize this area.

There are three sections of the student lot, and only one of these sections is lined.  This is the only section we will need available for these 4pm rehearsals - you will notice the purple lines on the pavement of this section.  Thank you so much for your consideration here, and helping our Marching Lions be the very best they can be!

GO Week 2024

Our trips filled up quickly with such a tremendous student response to GO! Stay tuned for more details about the local GO Week options.

Challenges from Chapel

High School Chapel is off to an incredible start! We are so blessed to have everyone in the high school join together each Wednesday morning for a time of worship, prayer, teaching, and community. Many thanks to Jason and Stacie Moore (Worship Team Leaders), Chris Litton (Tech Team Leader), Frankie Johnson (Facilities), and our incredibly talented students on the worship and tech teams for their commitments to making chapel a space and place where we can all connect with God.

Our four high school Bible teachers faithfully taught God’s word throughout the month of August. Each message centered on the preeminence of Christ in our lives. Thank you to Patrick Brannon, Chris Paschal, Sam Howard, and Ryan Tipton for challenging our students. This past Thursday, we were blessed to hear a message from our Head of School, Dr. Mark Anthony. Dr. Anthony shared a powerful message from the book of Philemon, challenging us to look for the many opportunities we have each day to see and value others, serving and loving them like Jesus taught and modeled for us. May a spirit of compassion, kindness, and service be a cornerstone of our culture at TCS.

We look forward to hearing from three more members of our TCS administrative team during the month of September. Please join us in praying that God will work in us so that He can work through us!

All of our discipleship groups will gather for the express purpose of Christian discipleship with the study of scripture as a primary function.

  • D-Group meetings are official meetings. This means that they are disclosed and scheduled.

  • Attendance will need to be taken at every meeting. This is a safety function. It helps all parties to know where our students are and where they are supposed to be while they are entrusted to our care.

  • All D-Groups will meet on-campus - before school, after school, and during Lunch A for Seniors only - Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets on Fridays each week at 1:45pm -2:15pm in the Student Lounge

  • There is an opportunity to take a d-group off-campus once per semester, this will be done as a  "field-trip" and will require applicable forms and permissions

Dates and Dress and Distinctions - Trinity Christian School holds to a biblical worldview that shapes our conservative understanding of both gender and sexuality. We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct genders work together to reflect the image of God. (Gen. 1:26-27) All TCS policies are intended to provide guardrails for students as they learn and grow in their faith and understanding of who they are as image bearers of God. Student clothing, hairstyles, and personal appearance should be a reflection of their commitment to pursue lives built on and shaped by a biblical worldview as well as their commitment to abide by TCS policies. Believing that gender is not a choice but instead biological by nature, students are expected to both dress and present themselves in a manner consistent with their God-created gender. While the Scriptures do not give explicit instructions for one’s apparel or hairstyle, we are instructed in the Scriptures that we should seek to honor Christ in our lives. Our appearance is a very integral part of our daily lives. The dress code is not created just for the purpose of having more rules for the student but is designed to exercise their ability to follow guidelines for acceptable dress in their future workplace. It should also be remembered that a part of our growth is submission to authority.

We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin (Gen. 1:27; Deut. 22:5).

Dress Code Guidelines

While we are not approving dresses this year, you must meet the following guidelines in order to enter the dance.  Attire will be reviewed upon entry and is at the discretion of the HS Leadership Team.

Girls’ Attire Guidelines:

  • No tight form-fitting dresses or skirts. The hemline at the bottom needs to be wide from front to back so that there is a good bit of space between your thighs and your dress.

  • Dresses should be of modest length providing full coverage (about 3 inches above the knee with bicycle shorts underneath)

  • Rompers are acceptable, but they must be fingertip length and non-form fitting.

  • No low necklines. Yet, before you pass on a great dress, consider adding some additional fabric that is not see through or wear a modesty panel. See the cute modesty panels they have on Amazon.

  • Make sure your attire does not have sheer see through material from chest down.

  • Slits should not go higher than 3 inches above the knee.

  • The back of the dress should be raised to not have any view or exposure of the small of the back. Use the natural waistline as the guide

  • Sides of the dress should fully wrap to the back and at a minimum to cross the midline of the side of the body

  • If dresses have lace as a top layer, the underlayer can not be close to  your skin tone because it gives the impression we are seeing your skin. This means that a nude/skin tone underlay is not approved.

  • Two-piece dresses are allowed, but must have no more than two fingers of space in between the top and the skirt, even while hands are raised.

  • GIRLS – pierced jewelry is limited to earrings (no nose piercings).

  • Tattoos of any nature cannot be exposed on campus or at school-related functions.

Guys’ Attire Guidelines:

  • Nice Casual pants free from holes, rips, or tears.

  • Collared button down or polo shirt (Must stay buttoned all night)

  • Ties, bowtie, sport jackets are optional

  • No pierced jewelry is allowed  at school-related functions.

  • Tattoos of any nature cannot be exposed on campus or at school-related functions.
