Mr. James Wheeler - High School Principal

A Message from the Principal

As we wrap up a full week of pre-planning, I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible work our faculty and staff have poured into preparing for the return of our students on Tuesday. The energy on campus has been focused, collaborative, and Christ-centered.

We are truly blessed with an amazing team—one that is united in its commitment to teaching with intentionality and infusing the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout every subject and interaction. From classroom setup to curriculum planning, our staff has gone above and beyond to ensure we are poised and positioned for a powerful year of excellence, discipleship and rigor.

We kindly ask that you continue to cover our school, faculty and staff in prayer as we launch into this new academic year. Your partnership makes all the difference.

Seniors - Please be sure to sign up for our Senior Retreat, which will be September 8-10 at Snowbird Wilderness in Outfitters, NC.  For more information, please click on the link below: Snowbird Information ITP

👋 Welcome Our New Teachers and Staff!

I am thrilled to introduce the newest members of our Trinity High School team! Each of these individuals brings unique gifts, experience and a heart for Christian education. We believe God has led them to Trinity for such a time as this and I can’t wait for you and your students to get to know them.  Please join me in praying for them as they begin this new chapter at Trinity.  Feel free to reach out and welcome them personally.

👨‍💼 Meet Your Administrative Team

We are blessed with an exceptional team of leaders who are committed to serving your students and our Trinity families:

  • Roby Ross, Assistant Principal – Mr. Ross provides daily support for our students and teachers while helping lead the overall operations of our high school. His heart for discipleship and leadership is a true gift to our campus.

  • Karen Brannon & Reed Shackelford, Directors of Academics – Mrs. Brannon and Mr. Shackelford are responsible for overseeing curriculum, academic standards and instructional development. Their goal is to ensure every student is challenged, supported and prepared for what lies ahead. Both will work directly with our teachers to ensure they are equipped and prepared throughout the school year.

  • Brian Fourman & Michelle Hutcheson, Academic Counselors – Mr. Fourman and Mrs. Hutcheson work closely with students to guide course selection, track graduation requirements, and provide college and career counseling. They are also a valuable resource for academic and emotional support throughout high school.

📅 New Friday Dismissal Time & Advisement Update

We’re making a small but important adjustment to our weekly schedule:

Starting this year, all high school students will be dismissed at 1:45 PM on Fridays.

Previously, students remained on campus for an Academic Enrichment period from 1:45–2:00 PM. This advisory time will remain on Wednesdays from 10:40–11:19 AM and is designed to allow students to meet with teachers for academic support, make up assignments, ask questions, and get organized.

We believe this change will better serve both students and faculty while preserving intentional time for academic growth.

Mark your calendars for these special days to kickoff the new year.

  • Monday, August 4 = MEET MY TEACHER DAY - an opportunity to walk through schedules, meet teachers, etc.

    • Families with last name A-L = 9:30-11:30am (drop-in time slot)

    • Families with last name M-Z = 1:30-3:30pm (drop-in time slot)

  • Tuesday, August 5 = FIRST DAY OF CLASSES = the 25-26 school year begins!

  • Friday, August 55 = WELCOME TO THE ROAR - a block party style event for all of our new and returning TCS families.

DROP/ADD PERIOD FOR HIGH SCHOOL

The drop/add period for high school classes ends on Friday, Aug. 22nd. Please note, only core classes can be adjusted. Students cannot drop an elective course once school begins. All elective courses need to be finalized by the first day of school, Tuesday, Aug. 5th.

ON CAMPUS DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSES

Dual Enrollment classes through Point University and Middle GA State University are held at TCS. It is important to note that these are college courses and that all communications are conducted by the student directly with the faculty and staff with those colleges. Dual enrollment professors at any college or university do not communicate via email with parents due to federal privacy law (FERPA). Additionally, TCS teachers, staff and administrators are not the point of contact for dual enrollment class questions.

Dual enrollment classes do NOT meet on Mondays, even if they appear on your schedule.

Semester one dual enrollment classes with Point University begin Wednesday, Aug. 20th.

Semester one dual enrollment classes with Middle GA begin Wednesday, Aug. 13th.

*If your student is enrolled in a course that is not being offered on campus (i.e. Southern Crescent Technical College, West Georgia, Georgia Military College, ets.), please take time to review their start and end dates as well as the policies on absences and tardies.
