A Message from the Principal

Welcome Back to High School!

What a great first week it has been! We were thrilled to welcome all of our students back to campus, including 104 freshmen entering high school for the first time and 25 new students joining our Trinity family. Please know that we have prayed over every student and your family, believing with great faith that this school year will be one of strong foundations. Our intentional focus this year remains Christ-centered, academically driven and community building.

As we settle into our rhythm, here are a few important things to keep in mind:

📸 Picture Day – Mark your calendar! School pictures will take place on Monday, August 18th.

🌍 Go Week Info Coming Soon – In the next two weeks, be on the lookout for exciting updates about Go Week, our schoolwide missions initiative where students serve internationally, regionally, and locally. This is one of the most impactful and purpose-driven weeks of the year!

🎒 Senior Retreat – September 8–10 – Seniors and their parents, please make sure to register using the link provided below. This retreat is a powerful time of reflection, bonding, and spiritual growth to kick off the senior year.  Snowbird Information

We are grateful for your partnership and prayers as we begin this journey together. Let’s make this a year of intentional growth and Christ-centered purpose!

👋 Welcome Our New Teachers and Staff!

I am thrilled to introduce the newest members of our Trinity High School team! Each of these individuals brings unique gifts, experience and a heart for Christian education. We believe God has led them to Trinity for such a time as this and I can’t wait for you and your students to get to know them.  Please join me in praying for them as they begin this new chapter at Trinity.  Feel free to reach out and welcome them personally.

👨‍💼 Meet Your Administrative Team

We are blessed with an exceptional team of leaders who are committed to serving your students and our Trinity families:

  • Roby Ross, Assistant Principal – Mr. Ross provides daily support for our students and teachers while helping lead the overall operations of our high school. His heart for discipleship and leadership is a true gift to our campus.

  • Karen Brannon & Reed Shackelford, Directors of Academics – Mrs. Brannon and Mr. Shackelford are responsible for overseeing curriculum, academic standards and instructional development. Their goal is to ensure every student is challenged, supported and prepared for what lies ahead. Both will work directly with our teachers to ensure they are equipped and prepared throughout the school year.

  • Brian Fourman & Michelle Hutcheson, Academic Counselors – Mr. Fourman and Mrs. Hutcheson work closely with students to guide course selection, track graduation requirements, and provide college and career counseling. They are also a valuable resource for academic and emotional support throughout high school.

📅 New Friday Dismissal Time & Advisement Update

We’re making a small but important adjustment to our weekly schedule:

Starting this year, all high school students will be dismissed at 1:45 PM on Fridays.

Previously, students remained on campus for an Academic Enrichment period from 1:45–2:00 PM. This advisory time will remain on Wednesdays from 10:40–11:19 AM and is designed to allow students to meet with teachers for academic support, make up assignments, ask questions, and get organized.

We believe this change will better serve both students and faculty while preserving intentional time for academic growth.

Friday, August 22 = WELCOME TO THE ROAR - a block party style event for all of our new and returning TCS families.

We are looking for a group of leaders who will help knock this year’s TCS Annual Fund socks right off! As a High School Annual Fund Ambassador, you will make a huge difference in the education of every student on campus! If you are interested in being ALL IN, click the link below.

FROM THE COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

The Army ROTC scholarship application at the University of North Georgia is now open!  Interested seniors are highly encouraged to start the application immediately so that there is maximum time to help them make their applications as competitive as possible.  There will be three national boards – October 25, January 26, and March 26 for students to start college in Fall of 2026.

The University of North Georgia is one of only six Senior Military Colleges in the nation. Applicants must be high school seniors who want to serve their nation as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army. The Army ROTC Scholarship pays for room and board (up to $12,000 per year) or 100% of tuition and fees + $420/month stipend + $1,200/yr book allowance. UPCOMING COLLEGE REP VISITS

Colleges love sending their admissions recruiters to Trinity! This fall, we will host many college reps looking to connect with our students to let them know what their particular school has to offer. These visits typically happen during our lunch blocks from 11:00 - 1:00 on Tuesday - Fridays.

If you are a parent who is interested in connecting with a representative during this time, you are welcome to come. However, we ask that you set an appointment beforehand by calling our front office. This helps us to have a record of your visit and allows the representative to know you are coming so they can plan to meet with you and your child during their lunch period.

Visits will be updated here weekly as they are scheduled. Here is our current list of upcoming visits:

  • 9/4 - University of Georgia (Athens, GA)

  • 9/18 - Samford University (Homewood, AL)

We will update this document as we become aware of more scholarship opportunities and their deadlines so bookmark it and check back often.

DROP/ADD PERIOD FOR HIGH SCHOOL

The drop/add period for high school classes ends on Friday, Aug. 22nd. Please note, only core classes can be adjusted. Students cannot drop an elective course now that school has begun.

ON CAMPUS DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSES

Dual Enrollment classes through Point University and Middle GA State University are held at TCS. It is important to note that these are college courses and that all communications are conducted by the student directly with the faculty and staff with those colleges. Dual enrollment professors at any college or university do not communicate via email with parents due to federal privacy law (FERPA). Additionally, TCS teachers, staff and administrators are not the point of contact for dual enrollment class questions.

Dual enrollment classes do NOT meet on Mondays, even if they appear on your schedule.

Semester one dual enrollment classes with Point University begin Wednesday, Aug. 20th.

Semester one dual enrollment classes with Middle GA begin Wednesday, Aug. 13th.

*If your student is enrolled in a course that is not being offered on campus (i.e. Southern Crescent Technical College, West Georgia, Georgia Military College, ets.), please take time to review their start and end dates as well as the policies on absences and tardies.
