2026 Senior Retreat Recap
The senior class experienced an incredible trip that led them to Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters in the mountains of North Carolina. This was the largest Senior class in recent years to attend the retreat, which is a testament to the strength and unity of our students. We are so proud of them and look forward to the ways God will continue to work in and through the Class of 2025.
The experience was God-centered, Bible saturated, and gospel informed, encouraging and allowing our students and staff members to kick off the school year with hearts and lives saturated with Christ!
Whether it was through team building, ziplining, rafting down the Nantahala or playing volleyball/basketball & gagaball until late into the night, the senior class did it together. Over the course of three days, they learned that God’s gospel and good news are given to them for salvation, and that the message of reconciliation is now the message they steward. They learned that in Christ, we have been made spiritually alive (John 3). The class of 2026 showed us that they are maturing, growing young men and women who are confident in knowing, believing and sharing the most central tenant in Christianity, the gospel!
Our students sang together, laughed together, prayed together and learned together in an unforgettable experience that we trust will bear fruit for years to come!

This week In Chapel:
Wesley Lassiter, MS director of Spiritual Formation taught through Romans 3:21-26.
Romans 3:21-26 helps us to understand that God's righteousness is revealed through Jesus so that sinners might be reconciled to God by the work of Christ alone. The students were challenged to see how righteousness is revealed, received, and realized through God’s plan of redemption accomplished in the work of Jesus. This truth helps us to understand we cannot be saved by our own efforts or the Law but through God sending His Son to free us, pay our legal penalty, and restore us into right relationship with God forever.
