MR. WHEELER’S WEEKLY WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Welcome back, Trinity family! I hope each of you had a refreshing and meaningful Spring Break, filled with time to rest, reflect, and reconnect with those you love. It has been a joy to welcome our students back on campus this week.  We have truly hit the ground running as we enter this final stretch of the school year.  There is a renewed energy across our campus. Classrooms are focused, hallways are full of life and our students are leaning into the opportunities before them. This is always a special time of year when all of the hard work and investment begins to come into view.

One of the greatest joys this season is the opportunity to gather as a community and support our student-athletes. Have you had a chance to look at our Spring Sports schedules? There is something happening almost every day of the week here on campus! Whether it’s baseball, lacrosse, soccer, or track and field, our Lions are competing with excellence and representing Trinity in a way that makes us proud.  With the weather turning in our favor, I want to personally invite you to come out and be part of the action. Your presence matters as it encourages our students and strengthens our community. Let’s fill the stands and sidelines with Trinity pride!

You can find all game times and locations by visiting our Athletics Calendar here:

LAST WEEK IN CHAPEL

Rev. Dr. Jay Bruce from Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church in PTC preached from Deuteronomy 5, where the fourth commandment reveals God’s wise design in commanding both labor and rest. First, Work is not a burden but a calling; God dignifies human effort and orders our days with purpose. Second, Worth is grounded not in productivity but in belonging to God, who grants rest as a gift, reminding His people they are more than what they produce. Third, Worship shapes the Sabbath, as ceasing from work directs hearts toward God in trust and gratitude. In commanding rest, God displays His goodness, providing rhythm, renewal, and a weekly reminder of His gracious care.
