Last week Brian Long dealt with “Obedient Faith” and dropped some powerful truth bombs on us. After reminding us that we were made for a purpose, to be on a mission, and in a relationship with God, he shared these quote worthy truths: “Obedience is a choice, obedience is often lonely, and obedience happens normally when no one else is looking.” “The beauty of obedience is it makes God responsible for the outcome.” And my favorite, “God calls common people to practice this uncommon obedience!” Great job Brian. You can check him out here: http://livestream.com/trichurch/chapel.

Please continue to pray for our final week in this excellent series:

  •  1/28/21- Tony Geasley - WAITING faith (Heb. 11:8-16)

GO Week continues on!

The sophomore bible classes finished up their in-service days this week and the Junior classes just got started. Here is an overview of what they have been doing at various locations:

Hope Global purchased a home across the street from the Hope Center. This house will service families that are in need of shelter. We had a team:

1. Demo the kitchen

2. Demo a ceiling in one of the bedrooms

3. Clear out the back of the house

We had another group work at the Hope Center.

1. Cleaned and sanitized inside of the Hope Center (5,000 square feet)

2. Blew leaves and debris from the basketball court

3. Pick up trash around the Hope Center

4. Organize inside of the Hope Center

Here is what our students tackled at Bridging the Gap:

1. Unload five pallets and organize donations from Atlanta Food Bank

2. Transferred donations from semi trailer to truck (Atlanta Recycle Center)

3. 280 bags were prepared for families to pick up this evening/tonight!

4. Help organize items in the main building

Our students have been such a huge help to these community partnerships!

What do students need to know for their GO WEEK assignment day?

  • GO WEEK is a part of our Trinity culture and all students are expected to take part in this wonderful opportunity of serving the community. However, if students decide not to attend their GO WEEK service opportunity, then they should plan to attend their regular classes since school is in session. If they decide not to attend the service project or regular classes, then they will need to bring in a medical note to make up the work.

  • Students should come prepared with a mask and a lunch.

  • Students should bring their completed release forms (which will be emailed to students) for each trip. They will not be able to attend without these forms.

  • Mr. Whittle will send a reminder email a day or two before a student is scheduled to serve.
