Happy Graduation Week! Calling All Kindergarten Families!

We are looking forward to one of the sweetest highlights of the school year, Kindergarten Graduation! It is hard to believe our kindergarten students are about to complete their very first year of elementary school, and we cannot wait to celebrate this special milestone together.

Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony
When:  Monday, May 18th
Time:    6:45 PM
Where: Main Campus Stadium

Before the ceremony begins, our graduates will participate in our beloved Annual March to the Stadium - a festive mini-parade from the Elementary Building to the Athletic Stadium. Families are encouraged to line the parade route, bring posters, big heads, noisemakers, and all the excitement as we cheer on our kindergarten graduates during their big entrance!

Stadium seating will be available, so families are encouraged to save seats before finding a spot along the parade route. Seating can be saved beginning at 5:00pm the night of graduation.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher. We cannot wait to celebrate this memorable evening with you!

1st–3rd Grade End-of-Year Celebrations & Awards: Tuesday, May 19th

We are looking forward to celebrating all of our 1st–3rd grade students and the wonderful accomplishments they have made this year! Students will receive end of year awards in their classroom and participate in a special end-of-year performance in the gym.

Please visit your child’s Blackbaud page for specific class times and details. If you have any questions, please reach out directly to your child’s teacher.

***MAIN CAMPUS INFORMATION***

As we look towards summer break and the final week of this school year, we wanted to communicate our plan for our optional half-day dismissals. Please review the information below and let us know if you have any questions.

  • Optional half-day dismissal days: Wednesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 21

  • Required half-day dismissal day (no after school option): Friday, May 22

Check out the specific details below:

Dismissal times will be staggered once again, just like our December half-days. This helped to alleviate traffic overall and allowed us to end our dismissal time earlier. Please review the times below.

NOTE: The Main Office will close at 11:45am and will not reopen until the dismissal line ends.

  • 12:00pm - Elementary (1st-5th) will dismiss. Only students in 1st-5th grade will be dismissed at this time. If you have a middle school student to pick up as well, please see information below.

  • 12:30pm - Middle School (6th-8th) will dismiss. Students in 6th-8th grade along with siblings in 1st-5th grade will be dismissed at this time. If you only have Elementary students to pick up, please plan to do so prior to 12:30pm.

Note: If you attempt to go through the car line to pick up a middle school student prior to 12:30, you may be required to re-enter the car line as middle school students will not be available for pickup until after 12:30pm.

For the optional half days on Wednesday and Thursday, students may remain at school free of charge until 3:30pm. After 3:30pm, regular after school rates will apply. If you need to pick up your child after the half-day dismissal ends, you may do so by either:

1. Picking up your child via the Main Office until 3pm.

2. Picking up your child via the normal Afternoon Dismissal line between 3-3:30pm.

****GO CHURCH CAMPUS INFORMATION****

EARLY LEARNING AT GO CHURCH INFORMATION FOR May 20 and 21st: The Early Learning students at our Go Church campus will dismiss from 11:30 to 12:00pm. Due to the half day dismissal, we will not offer the Junior Lions dismissal option. Early Learning students will be transported to the main campus for the Agape program at 2:10pm.

EARLY LEARNING AT GO CHURCH INFORMATION FOR May 22nd: The Early Learning students at our Go Church campus will dismiss from 11:30 to 12:00pm. Transportation will NOT be provided to the main campus for Early Learning students.

Progress Learning Final Testing for K5-3rd Grade:

On May 5th and 12th we will be conducting our final benchmark assessment for both English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. Students are encouraged to eat a healthy breakfast and arrive at school on time, as testing will begin promptly each morning. It's important to note that these assessments are designed to evaluate students' understanding of the academic concepts covered throughout this school year and to measure their academic growth as an individual student since the initial benchmark test in August. Remember, these assessments do not contribute to their academic grades.

End of Year Events

Chapel Moments

The sweetest final week of chapel was all about praise and worship!

Our early learning chapel was led by each of our kindergarten classes. Our students sang, danced, and jumped for joy as they praised the Lord to some of their favorite worship songs. It was such a special time watching their excitement and love for Jesus shine so brightly.

In our 1st–3rd grade chapel, our third grade worship leaders guided students in a joyful time of praise and worship. We also took time to thank our third graders for being wonderful examples of leadership, character, and strong study habits to our Lower School students. As their time in Lower School comes to an end and they prepare to move into Upper Elementary, we prayed a special prayer over them for the journey ahead.

Elementary Clubs

Our students love to participate in our elementary clubs. These clubs are designed for 1st-5th grade students and meet after school dismisses.
