The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph
The beginning of a new school year is an exciting time! I know this season is filled with anticipation, new routines, and a few busy mornings. As we prepare to welcome our Lower School Lions back to campus, I would like to share a few simple ideas that can help make the transition a little smoother for your Preschool through 3rd grade student.
Ease into a school routine. A few days before school begins, start adjusting bedtimes and wake-up times to match the school schedule. A consistent routine helps children feel rested and ready to learn.
Practice little things that build big confidence. Simple skills like putting on shoes, zipping a backpack, opening lunch containers, washing hands independently, and cleaning up after themselves help children feel capable and prepared throughout the school day.
Make reading part of your daily routine. Spending just 15–20 minutes reading together each day helps develop language skills, strengthens comprehension, and nurtures a lifelong love of learning.
Pray together. As the school year begins, take a few moments to pray with your child. Ask God to give them courage, kindness, wisdom, and a heart that reflects His love. Pray for their teachers, classmates, and for a year filled with growth, academically, socially, and spiritually.
Thank you for allowing Trinity to partner with your family. It is a privilege to serve your children and walk alongside them as they learn, grow, and discover all that God has planned for them this year. I am praying for a wonderful school year and can't wait to welcome our Lower School Lions back to campus!
