The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph
Tomorrow, August 31, is our first Lower School DEN DAY! We are excited to officially kick off our new Lion Leadership Program and begin building our Den traditions together.
Students should wear their Den color! Any appropriate school attire in their Den color is perfect for Den Day.
Official Den shirts are available to order and will be ready in September. These shirts are a fun option for future Den Days but are not required. Students may always wear other appropriate school attire on their Den color.
Click the link below to order your child's Den shirt.
We can't wait to celebrate our first Den Day together!
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
~Proverbs 3:5

DRESS DOWN DAY OPPORTUNITY
As the college football season gets underway this weekend, we are giving our students a chance to show off their fandom with a special dress down day on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3rd. Students may wear t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats that support their favorite team! Normal dress code pants/jeans/shorts/skirts should be worn.
We had a great time in Chapel this week as Mrs. Randolph kicked off our next six-week series, Life Lab! Throughout this series, we will be learning about the essential elements of a healthy Christian life.
Last week’s lesson focused on JOY! We learned that joy is a choice and that we can still have joy even when we are experiencing difficult things. Our circumstances may change, but God does not. We can choose joy because we know that God is always with us!
Main Focus: We must be full of the joy of the Lord.
Power Verse: “But let the godly rejoice... Let them be filled with joy.”~ Psalm 68:3
Whatchagaddaknow: “I’ll Be Full Of The Joy Of The Lord!”
Staying Informed and Up-to-date with
Classroom Happenings
To stay informed of what’s happening in your child’s classroom, please login into Blackbaud weekly. You will be able to see information such as weekly classroom announcements, upcoming events, weekly academic focus, grades, attendance, etc. This is the key to staying informed and replaces hardcopy newsletters. I encourage you to login each week. Information will be updated each Sunday at 5pm.
Accessing your child's class information weekly:
Login to your Blackbaud account and select your child's name under "Children".
Find your child's homeroom class under the "Progress" tab by scrolling down to where classes are listed.
After selecting the homeroom class, you will see the teacher's main class page where you will locate upcoming dates, class reminders and news.
Select the "Topics" tab to see specific information for each individual subject. Within each subject folder, you will see a plan for the week and upcoming projects and test information.
The "Topics" pages update each Sunday evening at 5pm and will remain current until the following Sunday evening.
The finish line is in sight, and the athletic home your child will grow into is just one gift away from becoming a reality.
