Student/Parent Orientation, August 10th

We are so excited to see our families back on campus soon! We have missed you! We are also looking forward to welcoming our many new families! We are so happy you are here! Orientation is a special time set aside for you to meet your child’s teacher. Orientation will look a little different this year and will be based on each student’s last name. Please review the schedule below and plan to attend anytime during your student’s time slot.

*Students should wear either their school uniform or jeans/uniform shorts with Trinity spirit wear.

Orientation Day Schedule (Student Last Name) - Please plan to attend at the appropriate time so we can maintain fewer families on campus at one time.

  • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm - Group 2 (D-J)

Distance Learning: Who Should Enroll?

1. Students who are medically vulnerable or have someone in their household who is particularly vulnerable.

2. Students with parents who are not yet comfortable with on-campus learning due to current COVID-19 data.

Note: The program is not designed for students who prefer learning at home (regardless of COVID-19) as the program is designed to be temporary due to COVID-19.

Chapel Announcement

Please note that Chapel day will now be on Wednesdays. Kindergarten-3rd grade will need to wear their chapel uniform every Wednesday. I am excited about this change as it will allow all of our preschool students to now participate in chapel services.

Educational Offerings

As we strive to offer the best education for your child, I am thrilled to announce that we have made some adjustments to enhance our curriculum and instruction. Additionally, we have updated or added new Specials

  • STREAM (Early Learning) - We have updated our STEM offering in preschool and kindergarten to now include the elements of reading and art. Our early learners will participate in this Special for 30 minutes each week. STREAM is geared toward providing your child with a well rounded education in Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math. This class will be taught by our Director of Student Life, Mrs. Ashley Moore.

  • Character Education (1st-3rd grades) - Character Ed is a new Special for our 1st-3rd grade students. This class will be taught by our Lower School Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Charlotte Hurt. We are excited to offer a class that specifically focuses on the development of Christian character, while emphasizing leadership principles. Each student will take this class for one semester.

  • LEO Program (1st-3rd grades) - The LEO (Learning Enrichment Opportunities) program is designed to reach students in 1st-3rd grades, who need an academic challenge outside of the classroom environment. This is a class offering for advanced students who demonstrate a specific skill set. Due to the uncertainty with Covid, we are currently giving attention to our distance learning program and will re-evaluate the best start date for this program at a later date this year. This class will be taught by our Director of Academics, Amy Robbins. More details to come on this exciting new program!

  • Library (1st-3rd grades) & Storytime (Early Learning) - Our 1st-3rd grade students will experience the Library in a brand new format! Mrs. Stone will now have a mobile library cart and visit your child’s classroom each week. Mrs. Stone will be reading books that correlate directly to your child’s classroom learning, ensuring our students make meaningful connections. Our Early Learning students will participate in a new Storytime Special with our school librarian, Mrs. Stone, when she reads aloud to their class once a week.

  • Spanish (Early Learning - 3rd grade) - We are bringing back our Spanish special for our  Early Learning students (preschool-kindergarten) this year. We anticipate great things as this class has been very successful in the past. Mrs. Julia Stone will be the Spanish instructor for our early learners. Mrs. Perez will continue to teach Spanish to our 1st-3rd grade students.  This year our 1st-3rd grade students will receive Spanish instruction for the entire year versus one semester.
