The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph

Our Character Education classes were busy this week creating beautiful Fall displays around campus. It was a fantastic way to end September's focus on joy. This is the perfect spot for teachers to take Fall pictures of our students too! Thank you for donating pumpkins to make this possible! Our students should be very proud of their work! We sure are!

Character Education Class for October

October’s lessons are focused on the attribute of peace.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

Here is a message from Mrs. Hurt: As our culture cultivates fear in many different ways, we will be celebrating God's gift of peace. “Jesus said, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

We continued our Life is A Highway series for our Chapel lesson this week. We learned how to STOP sinful habits once and for all. Our Power Verse was “Stop sinning and do what is right.” Daniel 4:27

The STOP sign teaches us to:

S - Stop What You Are Doing

T - Think About What The Bible Says

O - Obey It

P - Pray That God Will Give You Strength To Resist

Last week’s Chapel lesson, in our Life Is A Highway series, focused on the Yield sign. The Yield sign reminds us to yield to the Holy Spirit’s leading in our lives. The Big Idea was: Slow Down, Wait A Minute, Listen To The Holy Spirit. Our Power Verse was Galatians 5:25 “....let us follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.”

Classroom Highlight

First grade rounded out their Social Studies unit on Patriotism and the History of our Country with an America Day celebration! Students dressed in red, white, and blue, designed their own patriotic flag, and enjoyed singing classic American tunes like God Bless America and The Grand Old Flag. We're proud to be Americans!

Last week we began streaming Chapel service to our classrooms. I am so excited about this opportunity to teach your children. I began a series called “Life is a Highway”. In this series, we will learn how road signs can apply to our lives as Christians. Our first lesson was the One Way sign and we learned that Jesus is the One Way to Heaven. Our power verse was, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

While this is ideal, it may not be possible or desirable for your family. We value you and desire to offer assistance during these trying times. Dr. Anthony is releasing an updated reopening plan. Please review these new guidelines. If you desire for your child to participate in distance learning, please send me an email directly.
