Last Week in Chapel

We had a wonderful time in Chapel as we continued our series, Songs of Christmas. This week, we focused on the song Joy to the World. We reflected on how God brought joy to the world through the gift of His Son and explored the difference between happiness and joy. Despite life's challenges, we can experience true joy in the presence of Jesus. We concluded Chapel with a worship song, singing Goodness of God, where your children beautifully lifted their voices in praise.

Main Focus: Jesus brings joy - no matter the circumstances!

Power Verse: “ ....in your presence there is fullness of joy…” Psalm 16:11

Whatchagaddaknow: I will have joy - no matter what!

Last Week in Chapel

Last week we had a blast as we continued our series called “Songs of Christmas.” Pastor Kami taught about the song “Silent Night” and emphasized that the line “sleep in heavenly peace” is for all of us. We can sleep in peace no matter what is happening in our lives and in our families because Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He sees us and knows what we need. He is Emmanuel - God with us!

Whatchagaddaknow: “I can sleep in heavenly peace!”

Bible Verse: “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” Luke 2:14

SAGE Update for 1st-3rd Grades

We wanted to inform you about a temporary adjustment to our lunch service for students in 1st through 3rd grade. Starting this week, the soup station will be unavailable for a few weeks while SAGE explores alternative options for this offering.

This decision was made because we’ve observed that the soup station can be challenging for our younger students to navigate, especially when pouring. To ensure lunchtime remains a safe and enjoyable experience, we are working with SAGE to assess and improve this setup.

Rest assured, there will still be plenty of delicious and nutritious options available for your child during this time.

Thank you for your understanding as we work to enhance the dining experience for our students.

Last Week in Chapel

It was another great week in chapel as Mrs. Duncan kicked off our Christmas series called "Songs of Christmas". Although there are hundreds of songs written specifically for the Christmas season, those that share the love and joy of Jesus are the truly special ones! Last week's song focus was "Go Tell It On The Mountain". What a great week to collect and pray over our Operation Christmas Child boxes! Students realized that blessing others through sharing Christmas boxes with those in need is the perfect way to tell others that Jesus Christ is our Savior!

Main Focus:  "We must tell others about our Savior!"

Power Verse: "...'Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.'" -Mark 16:15

Whatchagaddaknow: "I Will Tell The World About Jesus!"

Last Week in Chapel

Last week we continued our “Famous Last Words” series as Pastor Kami taught our kids what Jesus said is the only way to heaven. There are many religions that teach that there are many ways to get to heaven. Even in the Christian church world, some children may be confused as to exactly what THE WAY to get into heaven is. Our kids learned that Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life. The only way to assure your place in heaven is by putting your trust in Him - PERIOD! Kevin and Riley led us in worship and Chuck Foo helped teach our Power Verse. We left chapel excited about sharing with others how to get to heaven.

Main Focus: “Accepting Jesus is the only way to heaven.”

Power Verse: “…’I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me’” John 14:6

Whatchagaddaknow: “Jesus is the Only Way to Heaven!

It was another great week in chapel as Mrs. Duncan kicked off our new series called "Famous Last Words"! In last week's lesson, students learned from Jesus' example that serving others is the only way to become "the greatest" in the kingdom of God. Leaders naturally love to be the most powerful player and blaze the trail for everyone to follow. This starts with putting others first through serving!

Main Focus:  "If you want to be a leader, you must learn to serve others."

Last Week in Chapel

We had a great time in Chapel this week as Mrs. Moore taught our last lesson in our series titled, No Name! In last week’s lesson, we talked about how God can give us the courage and wisdom to speak up for what is right, even when it is hard to do. As we studied the story of Naaman being healed from leprosy (2 Kings Chapter 5), we learned that when we share God's truth with others, it has the power to change someone's life.

Power Verse: “Speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ.” Ephesians 4:15

Our preschool and kindergarten students enjoyed this week’s Chapel lesson. They did such a great job participating in praise and worship! Mrs. Randolph continued our “No Name” series with a lesson on Lot’s wife. Our students were reminded to always keep our eyes on Jesus.

Our 1st-3rd grade students were able to watch select scenes from the High School One Act play “The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe”. After each scene, Mrs. Perez would explain to the students the spiritual meaning behind each scene.  They truly enjoyed this performance.

Last Week in Chapel

Last week in Chapel we continued our "No Name" series by focusing on 1 of the 10 lepers healed by Jesus who came back to express his deep thanks as told in Luke 17. Pastor Kami emphasized how we must live a life of thankfulness and be thankful every single day. Kevin & Riley helped lead in worship and our good, old friend “Chuck Foo” helped teach the power verse: “Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness.” 1 Chronicles 16:8a

Our kids learned 3 important truths: Everything I have is a gift from God - including our friends, family, talents, shelter, and Jesus. Thankfulness starts in the heart. And I must express my thankfulness.

Last Week in Chapel

It was another great week in Chapel as Mrs. Duncan continued our "No Name" series! In last week's lesson, the students learned that God does not ask us to outperform, outgive, or outdo our friends and neighbors. God asks us to be faithful with what He has given us. No matter how "little" our lives may be, if we give God what we have, He will use us to accomplish big things for Him!

Main Focus:  If we offer our "little" to God, He will make it "much."

Power Verse: "All must give as they are able, according to the blessing given to them by the Lord your God." Deuteronomy 16:17

Whatchagaddaknow: "If I Give God A Little, He Will Make It Much!"

Online Reading Resource for 1st-3rd Grades

Student login information for Lower School's reading curriculum will be sent home soon! This resource provides families with an opportunity to review vocabulary words, grammar skills, and spelling patterns through interactive games. In addition, students can review the reading story that is read throughout the week in class. Teachers have beautifully woven a Biblical perspective within each lesson to connect and apply God's truths throughout this curriculum. As you navigate the online resource, we encourage parents to discuss those Biblical principles with their child as they will not be evident in the curriculum itself. As with any online learning, we recommend parent supervision. We feel this resource will strengthen the partnership between the classroom and home to ensure academic success for all students. Last Week in Chapel

We had a great time in Chapel this week as Mrs. Moore taught our second lesson in our series titled, No Name! In last week’s lesson, the students learned about having an attitude of generosity while reading the story of The Generous Widow found in Mark Chapter 12. We talked about how being generous is all about giving the best of what we have, not just what we don’t want or what’s left over. This attitude of generosity applies to our time, our attention, and how we treat others. True generosity is giving in a way that honors God and makes others feel loved and valued.

Main Focus: It is not how much, but the attitude you have when you give.

Power Verse: “...for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7b

Last week in Chapel, we had a special moment as our third grade worship team led our Lower School students in praise and worship for the first time this year. We’re excited to see what this group will bring throughout the year. Mrs. Randolph kicked off a new six-week series called "No Name," where we’ll explore important lessons from some incredible yet unnamed people in the Bible. This week, we focused on the "Four Fantastic Friends" from Mark 2:1-12.

From this story, we learned the importance of doing whatever it takes to bring our friends to Jesus. Whether it’s inviting them to church, sharing God’s love, praying with them, or showing kindness, good friends introduce their friends to Jesus.

Main Focus: It's our job to bring our friends to Jesus.

Power Verse: “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Mark 16:15

Whatchagaddaknow: I will bring my friends to Jesus!

When you login, select the reading book image to launch the online program.

Last Week in Chapel

What a fun time as Pastor Kami finished our "Limitless" series! In last week's lesson, the students learned that God's REACH is limitless. He is omnipresent. Everywhere at all times! There is no one too far away for our God to reach with His limitless love. He invites us to partner with Him to reach the world with His love. We talked about how God is Everywhere ALL THE TIME. God wants to REACH EVERYONE. And God uses you and me to REACH THE WORLD.

Main Focus:  God can reach EVERY boy and girl!

Power Verse: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations..." Matthew 28:19

Update to SAGE Offerings for 1st-3rd

We are excited to announce a positive change to our beverage offerings designed to promote healthier drink choices for our Lower School students. Starting this Monday Sage will provide water, apple juice, milk, and chocolate milk for our 1st-3rd Lower School students.

This change aligns with the current offerings already in place for preschool and kindergarten students, and it will now extend to 1st through 3rd grades as well. To support a healthier lifestyle, we will be removing sugary drinks such as sweet tea and lemonade from our Lower School menu.

We believe this adjustment will benefit our children by encouraging better hydration and nutritional habits. Thank you for your support in helping us foster a healthier school environment.

Last Week in Chapel

It was another great week in chapel as Mrs. Duncan continued our "Limitless" series! In last week's lesson, the students learned that God's POWER is limitless! He is omnipotent! All powerful! There is nothing too hard for our God, and He loves to use his limitless power to love us, protect us, and guide us through our lives. His power is always there, ready to come to our rescue when things are difficult. With God, anything is possible!

Important Dismissal Information

We have partnered with the company safeDISMISSAL.COM to facilitate our dismissal process for our Early Learning campus (PreK-3 through Kinder) and our Main Campus (1st - 8th grades). One of the many wonderful features of this dismissal process is that your children will remain comfortably and safely in their classroom until the moment they meet you in the "car loading zone".

Here are a few tips to follow during our dismissal process:

  • Please make sure to have your ‘pick-up’ card displayed in your front window when entering the dismissal line. Please keep your card displayed until your child has been loaded into your car.

  • Please stay in-line (no passing) during dismissal as the children will be instructed to walk to specific spots for loading.

  • To reduce your wait time, please keep up with the car in front of you.  Stay attentive and focused on the car line.

  • If your student does not arrive at the loading spot before you do, you may be instructed to move to a "waiting" area where your child will be notified again. We ask you to move to this area so that we do not hold up the remaining dismissal line.

  • Please note:  Your child is assigned to be picked up at a particular spot according to the order of cars in line each day.  Please follow the car in front of you until the line stops, regardless of where you might or might not see your child.  Stopping before the line has filled will cause the sequence to be thrown off and delay the line.  We will get your child to the proper spot should they have gone to the wrong place.

Finally, we ask for your patience the first couple of weeks of school as everyone gets accustomed to the process.  It will get faster/better each day!

The administrators and teachers are committed to making this process beneficial to all parties. Please visit www.safeDISMISSAL.com for more information.  Below are a couple of helpful resources to further explain the process.

Last Week in Chapel

We had a great time in Chapel this week as Mrs. Moore taught our first lesson in our series about God's love being Limitless! In last week’s lesson, the students learned about how God's love is not bound by limitations. It is there for us in every circumstance and for everyone. While reading the story Nicodemus we learned that Jesus is God's son who came to make a way for everyone to go to heaven! Because of God's limitless love, every person can be forgiven of their sin!

Main Focus: God's love has no limit!

In my free time, I love to read, exercise, play games with my daughters, and travel with my family. I cannot wait to see what amazing things God has planned for this year, and I trust that He will lead and guide our every step.

Meet Second Grade Teacher, Melissa Casteel: I'm so honored to be teaching at Trinity! Hello, I'm Melissa Casteel, and I'm excited to be joining the 2nd grade team. I hope to bring them to Trinity soon. In 2019, my family returned to Georgia. We chose Newnan as our new home to be accessible to our extended family here in Georgia. The lesson emphasized that it’s important not to stay on the sidelines but to actively use our abilities to serve the Lord and help build His church.

Main Focus: We must all work together to build God’s church.

Whatchagaddaknow: I will get in the game and do my part.

I encourage you to login each week. Information will be updated each Sunday at 5pm.
