The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, I would like each of you to know how very thankful I am for your family. It is a privilege to partner with you for your child’s education. I pray that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with good food, fellowship, health, and time with loved ones.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34

Chapel

We just completed our 8th lesson in our Life Is A Highway series. The “Watch for Children” sign reminds us that we should be a Godly example to those that are younger than us. Our Power Verse was: “Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers.” 2 Timothy 4:12

Character Education Class for december

A Note From Mrs. Hurt: This December we will focus on the fruit of the Spirit: Faithfulness.  God shows His faithfulness to us, and the Holy Spirit gives us His strength to be faithful to Him, our family, and our friends.

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100:5

Character Ed. Focus:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

Preschool Thanksgiving Programs

Our preschool programs are always a special event, but all the more this year considering how Covid has impacted many of the things we would normally do. I am thrilled that we can still make these precious moments happen! We have made some adjustments to keep everyone healthy.  The doors to the Student Center will open 15 minutes prior to each performance. Due to Covid we are limiting the number of guests per student. Each student will receive 4 tickets for their family or friends to attend this event. We are kindly asking all attendees 4th grade and up to please wear a mask (in accordance to our school protocol).

Our preschool Thanksgiving programs will be held on Friday, November 20th in the Student Center.

The program times are as follows:

Byrom-8:45

Farr- 9:45

Hickman-10:45

Spurgeon- 11:45

Zarlenga- 1:00

In lieu of classroom parties, we will enjoy an outdoor mini Fall Festival event after each program. The festival will be located in the front lawn directly in front of the Early Learning building.

The Construction Zone Challenge was a success!!  To date, we have had 239 students complete the challenge! Thank you, Parents, for your support! It was a true blessing to see the students excited about praying and reading their Bibles. If your child would still like to complete the challenge, it is not too late. You can either email me or their teacher or just send back the form when they have completed reading their Bible and praying every day for 6 days.

Last week in Chapel, we learned about the Detour sign. In life, we will face disappointments and we must learn how to handle them. Our Big Idea was: Trust in God! Don't forget, He has never failed you yet! Our Power Verse was: “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

The Principal’s Piece: A Note From Mrs. Randolph

Last week we began streaming Chapel service to our classrooms. I am so excited about this opportunity to teach your children. I began a series called “Life is a Highway”. In this series, we will learn how road signs can apply to our lives as Christians. Our first lesson was the One Way sign and we learned that Jesus is the One Way to Heaven. Our power verse was, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6

Virtual Author Visit

We are so excited to announce a special event for our 1st through 3rd graders! We have scheduled a virtual visit with a well-known children’s author, Sandra Markle! Leading up to the event, Mrs. Stone will be sharing Sandra's books during library time. We are looking forward to this live virtual experience!

Message from Mrs. Hurt: We are focusing on the Fruits of the Spirit in Character Ed and this month we will be learning about Joy! Joy is described as "Peace Dancing". The Holy Spirit gives joy by causing us to see the beauty of Jesus Christ in His Word and His works. Each week in September students will participate in activities to help them recognize God's beautiful gift of joy.

Distance Learning

We are working diligently to provide a safe and healthy environment for your child. Research shows that it is essential for young learners to be on campus. While this is ideal, it may not be possible or desirable for your family. We value you and desire to offer assistance during these trying times. Dr. Anthony is releasing an updated reopening plan. Please review these new guidelines. If you desire for your child to participate in distance learning, please send me an email directly.
