Growing in Wisdom and Faith:
End-of-Year School Celebrations
By Samantha DePriest
As the 2025-2026 school year comes to a close, the TCS school community reminisces and celebrates each and every students with fireworks and flyovers, words of truth and encouragement, and a hope for the future. Scripture and prayer was intentionally woven throughout every big celebration and quiet moment for the littlest of Lions to the senior class during the last weeks of school, as it is each and every day of the school year.
Early Learning and Lower School students sang praise and worship songs under the direction of talented music teachers Mrs. Cathy Settle and Mrs. Victoria Wainwright with beautiful little voices and hand motions lifting praises to God. Each and every Kindergarten student wore a gold cross on their graduation sash for successful memorizing all 66 books of the Bible. What an amazing accomplishment that will tuck truth in their hearts for a lifetime.
Upper Elementary and Middle School students were honored for their academic success and growth spiritually in end of year programs led by Middle School Principal Mr. Adam Vinson and his leadership team. Whether the 4th grade field day, 5th grade walk and kickball game against the parents, or the 8th grade promotion night and prayer of blessings, each student in Upper Elementary and Middle School was recognized and celebrated by teachers for hard work and diligence throughout the school year.
Seven eighth grade students shared reflections about their experience in middle school at TCS and God’s promises tucked away in their hearts. At the close of the evening, each 8th grader was prayed over by a pre-selected loved one or teacher. What a moving and meaningful tradition the prayer of blessings is at TCS.
